Hmmm. I mean I'd consider him but I feel like we need something a little more "sure". I don't rate Dumfries, but while Aurier comes with some downside, we at least know what to expect form him.
Wague could end up a Theo, or he could end up another Calabria who is neither here nor there.

Theo had three seasons in La Liga before he came to us and had done well, this guy seems to be more of an unproven player at this level.

That said, Wagué could very well turn out to be a good player. I see that he already has 19 matches for Senegal national team.

I'm just unsure if he's ready to be first choice for us. We need a sure starter if we're replacing Conti and/or Calabria.

I will rather have someone like Ibrahim Sangare than a one-match wonder. (I remember we were scouting him last year)

Conte doesn't want players that will peak in 3-5 years. He is thinking about himself and his short term results rather than the future of the club. Which somehow is understandable, as he is never staying more than 3 years in the same job.

Yep. There's a good analysis of the situation by Football Italia as well, where they say that Inter are building a team for right now instead of the future because they have the opportunity to knock Juve off their throne next season. Makes sense tbh. And as much as it pains me to say it, good luck to them. Even if it's Inter I hope a different team wins the league next season. Serie A has never been ruled by one team before in the way that Juve have owned this decade, and it's mainly because we and Inter have not been able to compete. It's a terrible situation for Italian football, and I hope we never see this kind of unnatural dominance by one club again.
