Summer mercato 2020
Our good run is clearly different to the ones many have mentioned in previous posts. The indicators are the team's quality of the games, individual forms and mentality. Our prime goal should be keeping our top form towards the end of the season. From what I have seen, Maldini co. have been doing that. We have been chasing players for the bench (reliable and quality ones). We brought Tonali, not specifically to improve our play but to provide reliable backup for the core of a team, the midfield department. The rumors also suggest that we are chasing Bakayoko. Having both players should give some kind of guarantee that our midfield would not run out of gas. If Kessie and Bennacer don't give their best, the new CMs could force them to the bench.

We also brought Diaz who could be sub for Hakan's and alternative for our wings. The right fullback position seems still in the second target in this mercato. Some said we will only buy new RB if we have sold Calabria (Conti), but I still think that the position is not our first priority.

I do think, after we got another CM (Bakayoko or other alternative), we would pursue to a reliable CB for Romagnoli's/Kjaer's backup. We only have Musacchio as decent bench. Gabbia is still too young and inexperienced to achieve our CL spot's target although he has shown quality when he was given the chance to play while Duerte seems unable to be relied on.

If we managed to get one quality CB, our next purchase might be right fullback and/or starting-quality right wing. This is surely to improve our game. However, IMO that would be our last critical priority in this mercato.

40 mil euros? LOL
they should look at how much money Tonali costs.

with 40 mil euros, could we get player as good as bennacer? nope.
if we want to sell, we must get money that can be spread into 2-3 quality players.

it is not bad to have primavera player as zlatan's backup since the youngstor in reality is not directly the replacement for zlatan. we still have rebic and leao to play in the swedish position.

our source of attacking is the three behind the lone striker and the CMs duo. with tonali and bakayoko (or other) plus diaz both department should have been well covered.

I will suggest that Colombo should resonate between seniors and primavera, he is still 18.

As far as I know, the primavera players promoted to the first team still play for Primavera if they are not called up or so.

AC Milan, Bayern Munich, Dortmund, Leipzig, Arsenal, and Newcastle have all inquired about Georginio Rutter of Rennes, French 18 year-old striker. (L'Equipe)

Daniel Maldini's future is between Milan's first team and the Primavera. However, a departure on loan to make him grow is not excluded. He will not find space easily. Milan might loan him to a serie B or Serie C team to find continuity and come back ready. (TuttoSport)

Milan and Arsenal are interested in Sporting player Nuno Mendes, the 18-year-old has a 45m euro clause. Milan made an offer of 15 million euros - percentage of resale but the club was not convinced by the offer of Milan. (O Jogo)

I mean to say that he should not be bench for the season as Ibra deputy.

I agree with you. Colombo needs game but seeing he is the bench for Ibra, he would be called up in all games which means he would sit on the bench (not play the primavera games). However, if we manage to qualify to EL groups, we would play tons of games, Colombo should get games.

Hey, I'm Hitchens from RnB. Thought I'd check this out after hearing about it many times.

Who do people want for CB? Kumbulla, Fofana, Milenkovic are all mentioned.
imo, these young lads will only develop if they get to play regularly. otherwise they will stagnate, playing only 5-10 min per game. in that case always better to loan them out for a season two where they will be conceded playing time regularly
