I'm reading Zlatan's book and he just said that when Calciopoli hit it was between Milan & Inter. He wanted to stay in Italy. Then he met with Braida and said he was a cocky f&ck and he hated him. That's the main reason he decided to go to Inter and ended up canceling the meeting with Berlusconi. If Milan sent Berlusconi instead of Braida, we might have had Ibra in 2006.

Ibra has the nerve to call someone cocky?? I find that hilarious to say the least. Ibra is probably one of the most arrogant players in the game right now. As for Braida though, I've long said that our scouts are not doing a good job at all..we keep missing out on the really good unknown players..and buying Viudez's and Cardaccio's. Who in the world knows where those two are right now.

Can't believe Ibra actually called someone else arrogant, makes me wonder what Braida did or acted to cause that reaction. I think at that time, Milan had already sold Sheva, knew that Gila is not as good as expected, Pippo is good when he is healthy, and then there is nobody else. What makes Braida to be cocky? Could he be actually working for Morratti all these times?
I'm not sure if Ibra's telling the truth there, given what's been said elsewhere in the past and also given Braida's history at Milan. I know Braida gets a lot of criticism for his work as a scout, and in all fairness there have been a fair few bad decisions in transfers involving him, but I wouldn't judge. Many players, notably Kaka and Pato have said he was vital in them coming to Milan. Yes, Leonardo played his part, but until we know the whole truth, we can't discount Braida's work.
As for the Ibra story, it has been well publicised in the past that Ibra was set on coming to Milan just before Calciopoli (as was Moggi who said a contract was all agreed), but then when the scandal hit, Milan suddenly faced a lot of problems, both domestically (not knowing if we'd be relegated or docked points), and also Champions League, where UEFA were prepared to throw us out of the competition. During this time, our activity on the market was extremely limited as we didn't know our future. During this time Inter took advantage of the situation and snapped up Ibra in Juve's mass sale. Maybe Ibra's not keen on Braida, but I highly doubt this is the reason he didn't come to us and went to Inter.
