UEFA confirmed that players from Superleague will not be allowed to play for National teams in their competitions.

It's getting crazy.

But I still don't have an answer. I don't see why the leagues are so upset? These clubs said they will CONTINUE to play in their respective leagues. They just refuse to play in a UEFA organized European competition (CL or Europa League). Again...they did not say they will break out from their countries.
UEFA is the one getting discredited here. NOT Serie A, or EPL, or La Liga, etc.

The corruption will not decrease, I can bet on that.

@nefremo, leagues are members of UEFA with ties to them including financial. UEFA getting poorer or dying will hurt the associations financially too. I get that there is corruption but there is dependence and don't forget majority of members of associations are not in the super league and would be against the idea of making it more difficult (or impossible) to get into a big money league like this one. As it stands now someone like Atalanta could be missing on their biggest money source, basically forever.

Well, yes. But also, I'm not sure HOW dependent leagues are. The individual clubs get money from UEFA, yes...but the leagues market themselves. Serie A's TV and marketing deals are its own only.
I understand what you are saying though. For a club not in this league, this could be devestating.

Anyway, FIFA and UEFA going full crazy now. They will ban the players from playing in the WC and the Euro??? That is SO wrong. The players didn't decide this. Free trade should be allowed. Fight these clubs in other ways, but leave the players out of it. That would be so wrong on many levels. The countries themselves will not like this. It is their right to use their best players. We're gonna watch a WC without the best players in the world? How many people care about football at the Olympics??? That's what's about to happen to the Euro and the WC. The players will stay at their clubs. Because that's who pays them and that's who'll pay them even more.

This will be opposed. It will sound stupid. It IS stupid. It will get a lot of backlash. But make no mistake about it...IF it goes through, money talks as it always has. Players now dream of playing in the CL but at the same time that means a shit ton more money if you play for a team in the CL. That will very quickly shift to "dreaming" of playing in the "Super League", and of course, making a shit ton if money doing it. Because guess what, Atalanta and Lazio won't pay you that.

The idea of banning players from world cup or euros will fail in courts, the question is how much court action any body wants to go through and how long the process takes. Euro 2020 is only around 2 months away for example.

Exactly. The Players's Union will block ALL players from going to the Euro/WC. So they're gonna have to call it off this summer.

What a shit show! This is drama of the highest quality. The dust and smoke will eventually settle somewhere. Everyone will calm down. But holy shit.....this escalated quickly.  Icon_lol2

Nefremo hits the point, banning players with contracts is terrorism. It only shows UEFA is so incompetent and desperate. Viva la SuperLega, the stupid idea out of the stupidest UEFA, the greed idea out of the greediest UEFA.

Players should be given some time to decide, but letting them off the hook is not the solution. They should learn the difference between working as clowns in circus, and being football players, and what each of these mean.
I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered.
