Icardi would be either a dream or nightmare. I am leaning towards nightmare.

Donna just feels like an amateur when it comes to the business side of the ball to me. To be honest, I actually do think he really likes Milan and would love to stay for a long time in his heart. But, he is a young kid who wants to have your cake and eat it too. He doesn't understand the meaning of the word "sacrifice". That's why when Mino comes around and start promising him the sun, the moon and the stars, Donna loses his crap and starts acting like a dick. He wants to stay, but only on his own terms. In some ways, Donna feels like a young kid who got seduced by a slut and dumped his wonderful gf for her, only to later find out the slut is a nut case and isn't good for him. Hard to think Icardi would fit in with the youth policy. I’m really curious how that part of the market will go. Are we going to continue and target these young players with potential OR really good after established players.

I just hope if Inter has to make crazy sales and Juve get punished for their ongoing ESL thing, we use our financial leverage to weaken our direct rivals. Players like Kulesevski, Chiesa, Martinez, Barella may be available. Small chance but if available would be a great boon to start a new cycle.

Being a soccer player is such a mental game too, especially GK. I just don’t understand how Raiola could think it is logical to take this 22yo boy to a new fan set, massive salary with massive expectations. I think we can make a couple big signings happen. I don't mean massive, but a couple 40m signings maybe. We have some moving pieces in the squad that still have value. I'm thinking Leao and Romagnoli might both be sold. If so, we could get a combined 60-70m for them.

Nah, he won't be unemployed. He is far too talented and his agent is far too good for that to happen. But, when he signs for another team, he is going to realize just how different that world is compared to the one he left behind. Milan fans see this guy as one of our own, a future captain and the heart and soul of the team because he is a youth product of ours. He is like our baby. If he signs with Barca, he is nothing more than a highly paid mercenary to that fan base. They are not going to tolerate any mistakes or mental errors he makes because the argument is always going to be "you don't get paid Neuer money to not play like Neuer". He won't get unconditional support from management either because as soon as he under delivers, they will be looking to get rid of him to free up salary. This is why he needed to think carefully about what he was doing. Once you are out of your mother's house and has to get into the real world, that's when reality hits for a lot of young people. Unfortuantely, Donna is about to find that out the hard way. And if he thinks being talented is enough, look at what hapepned to Pogba's career at Man U.
