Other then Romero...none of the other players really hurt their team. My point is...they'll probably be still just as good. And some way, some how...they'll dig up other players to replace those 4 just fine.
But it's not all rosy over there. Their own fans have protested the fact that they just sell off every summer. They have zero ambition to actually won anything. I doubt that'll change this year.

Now, can you imagine Milan trying to sell a "Hamed Traore"? Would probably take us two years to try to make the sale and end up selling so cheap or he leaves on loan/for free [emoji16]
I didn't even add the €4m - €6m from the potential sale of Ilicic.

Milan have a phobia or disease when it comes to selling. Have been terrible at selling for decades.

This is very true and always has been. Good points. I can't for the life of me remember the last big money sale we made.
We have to give player's up for cheap or free. Or use them in a deal (Bacca/Samu) to get rid of the garbage.
Can you imagine Leao leaving Atalanta for the price they paid for him ?
I've always admired (just dont like) Atalanta for this plus they always have a strong youth academy that produced solid player's like Pazzini and Montolivo.
What a let down that would be. Go from Brandt, Vlasic, Kamada to land Illicic. Not saying Illicic isn't a handy player. If he is solely for RW , I'd accept that more since Salad is an option- got a feeling Salad is going to improve a lot this season- but I hope for someone else as CAM to support Diaz.

This is what a few years of CL gets you. It inflated the price of your players who perform on the big stage. I would be really surprised if Atalanta make top four next year. You can’t keep disassembling your team every year. I know they play their system and Gasperini has made it work so far. It is just too difficulty to assume the next kid (and that is their style) can step up and play well with consistency. All teams big and small are going into Bergamo looking to take points from a ‘top’ side.
Man these Maldini transfer markets are crazy. They break a story we are getting one guy only to be told negotiations haven’t started. I’m wondering if there is belief D. Maldini could play back up to Diaz as a starting CAM?

That's what I think we're finally starting to do with all the signings of younger players.

Yep. a few years of UCL, wages, and actual game time. So many of our players come on higher wages, don't play Europe, don't perform, then don't get given consistent game time.
Why would anyone sign a player like that for a decent figure

I can't either. It seems that we have almost always sold players terribly below their true value, even when we sold Shevchenko or Kaka for big money (could have doubled).
Ironically, the only "successful" sale with that criterion that came to mind was Cutrone.
