a lb is needed if we got no improvement until the end of season
a cd on the other hand is needed to replace nesta
i dont have the trust in mexes to replace nesta
if he is as good as nesta
then we wont be seeing nesta in the lineup right now
but fact is, even mexes cant make nesta out from the lineup
When it comes time for it, replacing Nesta seriously needs a bold move. No Yepes type one year deal, even not Mexes type. There are good defenders out there that can be LONG term players. As fans we should want our team to find the next gem or superstar in a similar way that we bought Kaka, Pato, etc.
Vidic is world class and he pretty much developed his game in EPL. Campbell, Gallas, And Stam did the same.
Luiz looks a bit lacklustre with Chelsea , but AVB wants and trys to play a high line , and they are bad at it as Terry is super slow and A.Cole has slowed a bit but he's not really tactically great although still fast.Makes Luiz look worse and his playing off of instinct as mentioned doesn't help.
But we need mid's not Tevez although I'll take him.DDR I just can't see it maybe it's because I see him as Totti or Maldini in terms of a one club man.But he'd be a bull in midfield for us .I would strongly suggest try obviously and Monty would just be a backup plan.I am at a loss for who we'll actually get , as Rino , Ambro , V.Bommel , Seedorf have got's ta go.
I dont like slow defenders, i find terry useless in the back he has a big figure and good positioning etc but just like for example how ranocchia was supposed to be so good but when he was up against someone like pato or players with place they're worthless
Luiz lacks far too many of the basic components to become a world class defender. His decision making, concentration and positioning are atrocious. He gets fans going but as a defender can not compete at the top level. It doesn't help that Chelsea are all over the place but he simply is not that good. He'd cost a fortune too. Alex is a far superior defender.
At least with luiz time is on his side and he has only really had the one season were as terry seems to be worse season on season since the departure of jose, alex who spends most of his time in the treatment room and when he is one the pitch his one exceptional skill seems to be as a set piece taker, of course ivanovic who has given up on being a cb and has focused on being a winger/fullback. In any case it all sounds too lavish for milan and in the case of chelsea wasteful as we would be getting vastly overpriced pretentious rubbish, it seems more likely that the management will look at someone like ogbonna or bocchetti who are long-term options and can play left fullback if needs be.
Off topic: in regards to chelsea i personally think that the likes of cole terry lampard drogba with their world-class status egos is the factor which is making them fail they seem to force their way into team on reputation alone which makes you consider is it really worth the management of the club pandering to a few burned out fan favourites just to please the crowd. In addition i would also ask is the reason they don't like avb is that he prefers a young set of players who might/ probably will never be as good as the likes of lampard but get stuck in and try their hardest to get a result for the team rather than to please the tabloids.
Even under Carlo, an admirer of Alex, Alex still could not crack the starting eleven.
That's too much a risk compared to taking Ibra, Tevez, Boateng and co, who are just "bad boys".
