He will move on loan to Cagliari should Milan bring in a new defender.
What a dump move for him, they already have Altare, Carboni, Lovato, Ceppitelli, Goldaniga, Cacares, Obert. Idk how he will get significant playing time considering they have players better than him in their roster and Cagliari being fighting relegation, they have conceded 4 goals in last four matches. Goldaniga, Carboni, Lovato, Altare(our former primavera player who have a great revelation in the latter half of season for them) at the helm of that.
Forza Diavolo ale!!!
I don't think a single one of those players is better than Gabbia TBH.
'Loan for playing time' is overrated, not saying zero benefit just saying overrated. Even if the players there are inferior you are not guaranteed the coach will play Gabbia or perhaps even worse that Gabbia will benefit from different training philosophy or methods

Cant disagree there. I'm not saying he'll play, I do think he'll be better than most of what they have. With that being said I don't believe in loans - you rarely see them succeed.
On another note what's everyones thought on Diaz? I mean our team is developing into something special. We might have another year without winning the scudetto - or anything for that matter. However, we're on the right track. I feel like a real top player in the #10 role is something we are dearly missing out on currently. Brahim was poised to develop into that player but I feel as though he's quite a way off of that.
The ideal scenario would be if we had the luxury of keeping Brahim but bringing in someone better. I do like Brahim and what he can offer from time to time so no issues keeping him in the squad. Just doubt the $$$ would allow us to do that. Especially when we're losing Dollarumma + Kessie back to back (over 150m out the window).

What Mike said.
Daniele Longo also stated that Lazetic will be part of Milan’s first team, rather than the Primavera.
According to Pietro Mazzara of MN, the transfer fee should be €5m plus bonuses, as well as a % on a future resale. Serbian outlet Mozzart Sport (via @Nemcy85) adds that it will be €4m in two instalments, €1m in bonuses, and a 10% resale clause.
Hoping this kid will be more advanced than what we thought like Kalulu and Saelemaekers.

That's the best way.
If he can get onto the pitch that's already a win over Pellegri. He might surprise like Kalulu and Saelemaekers who both can contribute something....sometimes.

Gabbia's best form ever came was in 2020 before the injury against Parma. Now he is struggling his ass against Venezia and Spezia. Currently based on stats both Altare and Carboni are superior to him both having higher potential too.
Forza Diavolo ale!!!

Multiple reports suggest Matteo Gabbia has extended his contract until 2026.
Salernitana has entered the race to sign him on loan but Milan will only loan the player should another defender be signed.
Milan management have opened talks with
Pierre Kalulu and are looking to reward him for his growth in recent months. Initial contacts with the entourage of the French U21 international to extend his current deadline to 2026 have been made.
This is a joke, I hope the translation is wrong, IMO the follow up (last one below) doesn't help it at all.
