GdS-Pioli has pit Berardi's name on his wishlist. Milan hoping to secure him for €20M.

(Sassuolo don't really give much flexibility in negotiation. )

GdS- also report we're close to a deal for Noa Lang.
( same paper two different rumors. I guess they need to sell papers)

Renato - almost done, some work to be done on wages

Botman - All done, he's very close to joining

Origi official within seven days

Then for the RW they want a player "a la Sarr from Watford"

A good powerful runner,  but no end product too it seems.  Only 5 goals so far.

We would also lose him to AFCON. Is AFCON each year or two year's?
Berardi or Lang? Lang is more versatile, faster, but is not proven at top level and have som attitude problems it seems. . Berardi is older, is a clearly RW, but knows the league and has probably more end product and is hard worker defensively(Latter is really important in Pioli teams).

I really like Lang but i would have choosen Berardi. It weighs heavily that he knows the league and his defensive work rate.

We suit the new gen or champions like Ibra.

100% players like this are high risk. could work out to be a masterstroke if it works out, but if it doesn't, then we're quickly heading back into the same territory we were before Maldini took over. Overvalued, high wage, deadwood.

Oh. 100% this. I'm shitting on him now but will also lose my mind if he was to be signed.

Even if you let an amateur like me to just sign players randomly from FIFA, I could've done better than that. The Mirabelli Fassotti administration was incompetent at an unbelievably high level and set us back so many years. Imagine if even 1/3 of the money spent that summer turned out to be studs, we'd be Serie A champion multiple times already at this point.

I'm 100% convinced that the standard FIFA player could have done a better job with the same amount of money.

-YES PLEASE!
-Also Yes please! just not in capitals.
-Meh. Not sure I'm convinced Noa Lang can be of use to us.
-Of course he didn't. can we not catch a break.

I'd much rather Berardi. hard worker, knows the league, has end product, been around for longer than 5 minutes.
Lang is young, from a different league, and has attitude problems. Not sure we need to be taking that kind of risk for RW when it's been a problem for so long.

1- good news.
2- great news.
Di Marzio: "Milan wants Origi and has offered to him: 4 year contract with salary of €3 m/year, but up to now Origi wants €4.5 per year. There is still to be discussed."

I'm hearing from a lot of sources that it's pretty much all agreed on and done deal.

Most linked targets:

Origi - almost done deal apparently
Botman - pre-agreement suggestions
Sanches - same as above^
Berardi - Multiple sources say he was personally requested by Pioli

Personally guys, I know Berardi isn't the fanciest or whatnot but he will fit excellently into Pioli's system and he's so direct which is exactly what we need. I can see him 10-15 goals per season in our side.

I'm happy adding Sanches and bringing back Pobega. WE don't need a Kessie replacement IMO. If Yoko leaves as well I'm sure Maldini will bring in someone to rotate in the mid but Bennacer + Tonali are both physical, have great defensive qualities and are more technical players than Kessie.
Antonio Donnarumma, Andrea Conti, Leonardo Bonucci, Mateo Musacchio, Ricardo Rodriguez, Franck Kessie, Lucas Biglia, Hakan Calhanoglu, Fabio Borini, Nikola Kalinic, André Silva all came during that summer with €240m spent.

Huge fan of Berardi for a long time. I always cop attitude when I say he's great, usually from people that choose to concentrate on his Italy performances. He's been quality for some time. Jsut not been picked up by a bigger team. But ticks all the boxes needed for a RW for us.
A Berardi and Leao with an Origi/Rebic/Saele bench options would be good.

At the time we bought them most people were quite happy with some of these, like Conti, Bonucci, Rodriguez, Kessie, Hakan and Silva. But then some were unlucky, some were unmotivated and others were worse than we could have ever imagined. And also the club was badly run and we tried some terrible coaches too. Basically everything went straight to h***. So it's too easy to say in hindsight that they were a waste of money, although they turned out to be.

I'm pretty sure some of the players that have "blossomed" lately would also have failed with the setup we had back then.

Anyway, it's great to see that we are now on the right track both economically and in terms of sport.
