Err, actually in Inter forum I knew, Pato is quite revered and (?) feared. They think that he is a death god who will surely bring death (obviously) everytime we play against them. Sagrin

Man, is that because Elmago agreed with you on Pato? Coz I didn't see his comments particularly ouclass everybody's. Seriously I miss this forum, well the old one technically, of 10 years ago, which gave me a good laugh every other day.

Back to the issue, we all have been watching Pato when watching Milan's games, this kid looks a little like Gilardinho this season. I was curious why Galliani wants Tevez when Milan's forward line is already crowded. Big question mark. He's not replacing Pato coz other forwards are older and get higher paid, he's not replacing Ibra yet before 2013. He sounds like a better scoring version of Binho but it isn't worth it due to binho is a strong position Milan owns. I can see with Tevez and a more dynamic midfield we want less-long-ball-and-less-Ibra-dependent game, but Milan is not financially another City. One lineup I can think of copying though is Manu's CL 08, that Ibra and Tevez are the strikers and Pato charges from the flanks, if Ibra is absent, Tevez can shift position with Pato and Binho in this lineup, like one bishop and two castles in a chess game (awkward analogy I know)

Yep. During the last Super Cup game and other derby games they were pooping themselves at the sight of Pato. Devilol

Ibra got many things spot on in his book.

One of those things was regarding the fans - "It doesn't matter if you are a god game after game, all it takes is a couple of bad games and for the fans you are total crap."

Ibra had many career spells when people started thinking he is crap. Latest ones were end of last season with Milan and the season with Barca before that.

It wasn't even that long ago when Pato was world class.

Read all of my posts for the last few weeks. I've stuck to the technicalities of football and offered insight into my ideas of the future of Milan and the direction we should go. I spoke extensively on the Pato debate, stating that we must analyze the situation in June, and decide between Cassano/Pato/Robinho/Tevez as to who should leave and who should stay, not to mention analyzing the situations of SES and Inzaghi. I feel both have not received a fair chance this season when Pato and Robinho were out of form.

As for you saying I don't have class, that's your opinion and I respect it. Lately, my posts have been TOTALLY ignored and I don't know if that has to do with something that happened previously. Between starting threads or my opinion, there has been obvious an obvious refusal to acknowledge anything I write, which too, is fine.

I've not fought with anyone at all lately, but due to myself being ignored lately, I decided to stick my neck out and defend Flame, to the administrator's dismay. I know this is a Private forum, but fights occur, we're human. If name-calling hurts people's feelings then maybe they should be an Inter Fan. I feel strongly about protecting the right to speak one's mind.

As far as my comment on the UAE, I meant nothing negative about fans coming from there. I notice there are tons of Milan fans from the Middle East and Far East. I think that's cool and was just wondering why, in a sense. Not an ounce of Negative connotation in that post.

I will seriously consider my future in this forum after the last few days....

Unfortunately, you are right about that....it seems other fans appreciate Pato more than some Milan fans which is sad

.....

My exclusion of ElMago was simply based on the post I quoted him for and not on his opinion of Pato (which I also respect as he is always logical in his reasoning)....I agree most on Pato with fLame's views but, again, that was not the topic of my comments in my previous post.

....

I know man, it was just an FYI comment from my end....what i crticized was fLame's comment not yours and although i know that all he was trying to do is have a go at Hitman, I'm sure he could have found a better way...and btw, as far as i know, Hitman is not from UAE, he was just visiting (correct me if i'm wrong)

I totally agree with the point you made in the Atalanta thread that with a proper playmaker who can provide those defence splitting passes, Pato will excel (that is why I dreamed of Fabregas). As opposed to what Hitman claims, that we need to change 3-4 players to create a suitable setup for Pato, I think we just need to have a real playmaker in Boateng's ACM position and that should be enough (Boateng can play in midfield)...so that is just one player we need to change.

We all know Ibra is doing brilliant and yet, last year, he and Pato both scored 11 goals in Seria A (correct me if i'm wrong) so why should we criticize a 22 yr-old for equalling arguably a top 5 player in the world's record? Because he did not provide as much assists? well guess what, he is STILL 22 AND LEARNING and spent half of last season injured anyway.

Fans are frustrated he is always injured? well so am I and I'm sure so is he...the decision is to whether give up on him for 40-50 Mio or whatever (which we are never sure will be used to buy a better option (who the f*** can guarantee that Tevez will perform in Italy?)) or stick by him and wait a couple more years...

What will it cost us if Pato does not explode in the next 2 years? Cost us the Seria A? I don't think so because we look good enough for that.
Cost us the CL? I also don't think so because we will never win that without a proper LB, a creative midfielder, probably a better GK.....oh and both Real & Barca f***ing up badly

It might cost us the current 40Mio if Pato's career goes down the drain? Let Berlusconi worry about that

It was a joke, relax. Tongue And yes, I was just having a go at hitman. Angel

On a side note, I visited UAE while on vacation and totally loved the country. I'd love to live there temporarily at some point of my life. Sagrin

actually I'm goin back there next week for a month, job is moving me there for a lil while.... I'm Kuwaiti.

LebRN: fans aren't just frustrated that Pato's injured all the time, but it is the attitude he shows when on the field that's sickening... the effort he puts is ridiculous... if at least the kid tries hard I would have never been against him, but its been a long time that this has been going on..... I think Pato will definitely explode at another club as he's got the potential... he doesn't look like he's going to be in the right track to improve at Milan any time soon, we have been waiting for so long and haven't even seen 1 sign of consistency..... when Pato begins to show signs that he's willing to take over from Ibra, consistently, that's when he can win some of the haters back..... for now, Pato to me is just a potentially great player, that could be sold for 45m which could get us better players than him eventually......

think of Zidane's sale... it was a great piece of business by Juventus back then..... they knew he was the best but they knew every player has a price.... Moggi then replaced Zidane with three great players and created an amazing team.... selling Pato is definitely the end of AC Milan, because at this moment in time, we have been playing great football for two years without him.... he is not integral to our plans and him not being here will not change anything for our team play......

the difference between me and you is, you want to wait for him to reach his potential, I think we've waited long enough (4 years since he joined) so it's time to get 50m (which is a value that is more than good enough for a player like him).

Since a couple of years back, this forum started to be filled with tangled personal discussions, where people can't wait to fight for their political correctness, I'm honestly fed up with this trend. I never said anybody has no class in this forum, check it out before putting bold lines as if it's louder and truer. It's funny I've considered my future in this forum following Kaka's sale, but eventually as I knew I came back after about a month. If you guys can find out the thread before Pippo joined about his potential arrival, (not the Paolo Inzaghi thread) and how people disagreed each other, you'll know what I mean.

I've been consistent in not pro-Pato-sale, one of the reasons is Milan won't get more than 30m atm from his sale. This is a confusing situation, with FFP and locker room stability issues around, what the sense to buy Tevez? We know Pato does not play from heart, but that's just him. As Galliani said he doesn't like genius players. Pato has grown from a small built to a big one, technically he used to be mentally quick, now his body finds hard time catch up with it, he loses balls. It seems his brain has to slow down to catch up his body, that's very frustrating to a person. Now he can do less solo he has to develop tactic wisdom, but he's known a good shooter but a good passer. It's like potting and snookering, different techniques. Berlusconi asked Pato to play closer to the gate, he saw his future is in Romario and Ronaldo, not CR and Messi. The problems are it takes time, and Milan's game with Ibra does not provide space for a Ronaldo. Pato is good in open games, only if he doesn't lose balls so easily. Do not field him as a target man against small teams and in training stop him from dribbling defenders at 50-50 situation. This is my personal suggestion.
