With Sanches gone, I really don't know who the club will turn to now. Hopefully not a "panic buy" as it's been mentioned.

Maybe we'll just stay as we are until January. I just really don't trust any if the other midfielders past Tonali/Bennacer. They are all good to be squad players and it's fine for a game or two or to enter games in the 2nd half. But for a prolonged period of time? Not so sure...

It seems Krunic & Pobega will sub for Tonali & Benacer. Adli & Diaz for CAM, Messias & Saele for RW   and CDK for both position.

That's not necessarily true. CDK appears to be without a clear position so he may be able to fit that Diaz role as well as RW. We have played Adli as a CAM a few times. Also, I personally think Adli would do best in the double pivot. The guy has passing range. He also has defensive play to him. He is not as solid as Kessie defensively, but going forward they way Kessie did (and Tonali toward the end of the season) he can offer much more. 

I'm happy the Sanchez saga is over. I never was convinced about a player like that here. Not having him just allows other youngsters like Pobega, Tonali, Adli to grow. Honestly, I think we are at a point where players need to start being sold. I have a feeling that without movement on the right wing (looking at a Saele sale) or mid field (terminate Bakayoko loan) then the only position we are certain to move for is defense to replace Romagnoli. We are building this side, but there remain a lot of redundancies.

I mean just looking at that RW we have Messias, Saele, possibly CDK and possibly Adli (though that is unlikely). For double pivot we have Tonali, Benna, Pobega, Baka, Krunic and possibly Adli. For CAM we have Adli, Diaz, Krunic and possibly CDK. In the center of the defense, we have Tomori, Kalulu, Kjaer and possibly Gabbia. That's not a lot. For LB, we have Theo and FBT who is still very rough.

If I were a betting man, I'd say we don't have much money left. So, it makes more sense to put that money in the defense despite our atrocious offense last season. The ideal defender would be similar to Kalulu who can play most anywhere in the back four.

We have never signed a spaniard that we could or should expect much from, so the problem isn't their nationality.

That said, I wouldn't expect much from someone like Ceballos either. Has nothing to do with nationality, just the wrong player.

agree 100% on the bold part, we need to nurture our youth, we are not real madrid , chelsea or psg where they buy established players, im not saying we should never buy a proven player, but just have a trust with what we have, look at last season, a midfield that consist of shit kessie that you all hate 2 season ago now you all admire him, krunic that never have a defined role in this team nor the talent, the bakka bakayoko (demonbanana would get what i meant), an injured bennacer and look where that get us? the scudetto man, we beat the big guys with this team, give some credits to them. pobega is an exciting prospect so does adli, i think both of them could flourish this season or next season
