He is mainly a RB that can play LB. And we've had him here before without being too impressed. Also, it seems like Erik ten Hag wants him to stay at Man Utd.

Frattessi is highly doubtful as Sassuolo don’t need the sale and Roma has a percent clause on resale. Serie A has to start encouraging the clubs to discount player sales within Italy. Otherwise you keep shopping your talents out to EPL or other leagues because only Juve can afford these ridiculously inflated prices. These guys won’t develop as well as they would in a home environment.

Apparently Maldini found a cheap target. A 21 year old playing in Denmark

Raphael Onyedika. A young Nigerian that's come up through the Danish youth system and plays for Midtjylland. Sounds like a Moncada/Maldini signing. Out of nowhere. I know nothing of him. Youtube shows him as someone that's very dynamic and aggressive defensively. Not so sure about his quality in the ball.

Anyway, a bit of research showed that he's now a full time starter there, but missed the last CL game vs Benfica (where Midtjylland lost 4-1 away). Injury maybe? Can't find details.
The rematch of that game is tomorrow in Denmark so I'm interested to see if he is in the squad. Typically when he has been in the squad, he's played the entire game (based on transfermarkt).

This management has shown they can dig out talents. But it doesn't stop there. They've also shown (along with the coaching staff) to have the patience with these young players. So if this is the guy they choose, I'm sure there is good reason. There is also something extra satisfying about signing a player like this and watching him grow into something great (hopefully). For me that's always more exciting than signing stars.

No it wouldn't cup tie him. I believe you can play all the way through the play-offs and still be able to play for a different team in the group stage.
Here's a link to UEFA's explanation. Talks about January registrations and changes with explanation that a player can play for 1 team in the group stage and another team in the knockouts. It's my understanding that with the initial registration (prior to the group stages), anything's a fair game.
