A bit off topic from what's been discussed lately, but thought I'd share.

Whoever buys the Serie A rights has to work on production. There is a good product in Italy, but the broadcasting is so terrible.

I went to the Tottenham - Forest game on Saturday. My first EPL game. The stadium was new, and the overall experience in it was "nice". That's the thing. "Nice" and family friendly. Clean, new, modern, etc. That's all fine, whatever. But the biggest surprise for me was the atmosphere. It was dull. It was almost "theatre" like. A couple of chants here and there, but even though I was seated next to the Tottenham fans which were behind the goal, it was not loud at all. As a matter of fact, the Nottingam fans made more noise but even that was muted and being opposite of them diagonally on the other side of the field, I could barely make out what they were saying.

If I compare that to my experiences in Italy at the San Siro....it's like a Sunday league game at the park. San Siro is so loud. Constant singing, flares, flags. It's a deafening echo. And not just the Curva Sud, but the opposing fans as well. It is SO loud you could barely hear yourself talk.

My wife was with me and she has gone with me to a couple Milan games as well. Not knowing much about the sport in general, especially fan bases, etc....I asked her what she thought. She said the intensity in the Italian stadiums was so high that she was nervous from it. It created a tense sense of feeling. This, she said....is like going to an MLS game.

But my point here is, when you watch the Serie A on TV, none of that intensity is projected. The broadcasting quality is terrible. It's almost as if the mics are turned and focused on the field and not the stands.

You watch an EPL game on the other hand, it's loud, intense, etc....but to me, this was proof that it's all "fake". I had heard this from others, but it was good to see for myself.

I guess the money involved would be quite good. If the $138m in the article is the actual figure over the 7 seasons, then each year it would be about $20m for four teams. Considering that FIGC would get a share, still, it would be reasonable to believe that each team should get 3-7m each?

If I find more accurate report, I will come back to provide an update, but it won't be our money next season. I am sure that Lazio and Fiorentina will appreciate the few extra million.

Actually, I came to this thread because I just found out that Cuadrado is going to join Inter on a free. Wasn't he the one that annoyed Merda fans the most? Also, wasn't Lukaku the one Inter player that was racially abused by Ladri fans? What the world is going on?   Sentiments or emotions are no longer a thing in Italy, it seems.

Also, Vlahovic agrees to PSG's 11m-per-season deal (Juventus now asks for 80m transfer fee), and Chiesa may go to Liverpool. Needless to say, all three teams are going through some really interesting time.

Inter Merda is so damn lucky. They got Onana for free and one year later he got them 57.5 million euro guaranteed money and a few extra million in "easy" bonus.

I remember some people said that this guy isn't mentally stable (he still may not be ), and I was truly hoping for him to turn out to be a bust for Inter, just like how Handanovic gave us a hand in our 2022 Scudetto. (Onana most likely would have saved the Giroud goals against them.)

On another EPL news, Gvardiol is set to join Man City. Maybe they will dominate Europe for a bit longer now.

Inter don't want to take risk with Onana, one of the best sweeper GK.
Replacing him with Sommer, a short (1m83), average GK without a leg is laughable.
Planning to use Onana money for Lukaku is another funny story.
Thuram & Frattesi are nice addition, but until now they are not stronger, even weaker.

Wait, Sommer? I actually think that Sommer is really, really good. Yes, he is short (and that's a HUGE problem for a GK, I agree), but I like everything else about him. I may be in the minority, but I would not call Sommer an average GK. If he goes to Inter, then yes, I hope that he will turn into an average one then.

Thuram and Frattesi are decent addition, but we can always hope (that they will stink up). After all, one loves money, the other loves Merda. They can both go to hell.
