Morata deal is a good one IMO, we need 2 strikers. Probably this deal doesnt exclude Zirkzee. Morata is our new Giroud, he’s a proven striker and will get his goals.
Add a Zirkzee to this and we are set in attack. (Zirkzee or another young mobile striker)

Morata is a safe choice. He is a good team player with no signature skill like Giroud with heading or Lukaku with his physique.

Morata could be 6.5 +/- 0.5 of 10. Lukaku: 6 +/- 2

I personally like Morata.

We always end up signing our plan Z targets anyway. Same thing every year, we start the process by linking with some hot shot target, and then end up settling for some recycled project. Never for a second believed we were gonna get Zirkzee just like that, always knew something would go off the rails

Zirkzee to Man Utd. I think that we really should have payed what was asked, he is worth the money. Instead, now we are after another veteran striker who is going to be another temporary one season solution.
Start of mercato is not promising.

This ownership got off to a bad start with the firing of Maldini and Massara. They made  couple questionable signing and one that didn’t turn out the way everyone else thought in CDK but other than that, the team seemed more unified and tranquil with him. I feel like Zlatan can’t fill that same role because he is an egomaniac and it showed this season with Milan going into “easy” games thinking it was a automatic win and then end up losing or tying. Furlani amd Moncada seem to have that same egotistical personality in my opinion. With each one of our target players being taken, the quality in which we are looking at is dropping lower and lower. Last we signed many players and some of good quality ie Loftus Cheek, Pulisic and of course Reijinders. Now we must sogn less players of higher quality to complete the squad. If im not mistaken, Maldini wanted Calafiori at Milan from Basel and the ownership blocked it. Americans have no business owning european teams.

Morata seems nearer to us. Maybe it is just me, I want the deal to be done as soon as possible, then spend the big part of budget to fix the defensive problem, especially in the mid.

1. The star of Milan is still Leao. Having Morata means he will have the best support to shine, and the board still trust him.
2. Morata can adapt and contribute quickly, with his experience & personalities.
3. Other choices: Lukaku has higher ceiling but his ground may be deeper than the earth. Aside from him, Zirkzee and the likes are still young, we are not sure if they can reach a successful career like Morata, who was hyped more at their age.
4. In the last season, we don't lack goals, we were just too generous to our opponent. Standing 2nd in Serie A is ok, scored less than only Inter is acceptable, but conceded more than 9 teams is unacceptable.

EDIT: Using Morata for 2 years, wating Carmada to mature is not bad, IMO.

I am so tired of this "shoot high, settle low" approach of this front office. It's the same song and dance every mercato, where we aim for players with the perfect profile, and then once we found out how much he would cost, we move onto the next target. This cycle repeats itself 10 times over every mercato until we settle on our plan Z. If we don't want to spend money, just aim low from the very beginning and don't set the fans expectations high. We came into this mercato with a clear number one goal to sign a high priced young striker who can carry the attack. Not even a month in, we are talking about Morata and Lukaku. Utterly pathetic
