Its an interesting case, the Turkish League. The entire mentality in that league is flawed. They have no teams in the CL, even though 2 (Galatasaray and Fener) went through the qualification cycle. Yet, there is so much money in the big 3 (Galatasaray, Fenerbahce and Besiktas) and in a few other clubs. They are able to dish out big salaries and spend a lot on the market as well. But the problem is, they are in love with washed up players from top 5 leagues. So they take "the trash". The "unwanted". The "old". They give them high salaries, but the fact of the matter is those players that were once good in the top 5 leagues, no longer are; hence, the reason their clubs want them out at all costs.

In a weird way, it's very similar to the way B&G did business in the later years at Milan. Bringing in "names" and giving them good salaries, but those players were way past their best.
It is famously termed as Retirement league for a reason though the league might be bad but the love of game is elite and fanbases are highly politized.
Forza Diavolo ale!!!
According to tuttomercatoweb, had Milan missed out on Fofana, they would have gone for Samuele Ricci as Moncada is a great admirer.

Imo I would have gone for Ricci over Fofana
Ricci seems like the right profile to go after. That being said, he is not gonna be a possibility if he cost more than 20m lol
The seasons are long...way to long. why not sign both of them?

The chance to buy Ricci was a year ago instead of blowing money on fodder like RLC, Musah etc.
Now he's exploded and well out of reach.
Origi lost his motivation to be a top footballer and our fat contract was the final nail in that coffin. As he lost motivation he gained a bit of weight and don't put in the effort needed at this level. Unfortunately for clubs there is no protection against this more than being smarter when handing out contracts.

By far Maldini's biggest mistake was bypassing Kolo Muani for Origi. A very classic mistake we see often in football were footballers make choices based on their history with a player over a analytical one. Galliani/Berlusconi did this all the time.

How? Please explain?

He will be a worse player, we can't use him, we pay his wages and we would get less money for him with a sale? it is lose/lose/lose.

He is injured every season what huge difference it had made? More time for Fofana to settle and more playing time for Zeroli in senior side

The difference it made is that we don't talk about about him with respect. Because the injuries have basically stopped his career short.

I don't expect to see Zeroli play anything at all and Liberali is the player we should use instead.
