Should have been 3-2 or something. We are so vulnerable in defence. Just horrendous. Pavlovic on that last chance, slow as my grandma. Without a great Maignan this could easily have been 1-1 or even 1-2. We need to step up and get that second goal early in the second half. Believe me Girona will score at last once against that defence..

Musah has been really solid, should of course finished when he passed early on, but he is dangerous and also hit the post with a great shot. Leao is having one of his good days. Morata... He is not a football player amymore, he can just run and push and thats absolutely all he can do. I was just staring incredoulous on that first touch and vision. Serie C level..

We really need to use the midfield a lot more. Both Reijnders and Fofana has the ability to break the line just like Reijnders did on that Theo chance. We need a lot more of that! But things like that needs confidence from the players. 1-1 Leao is almost unbeatable, and we would create a lot of chances with more dribbling and pace in midfield.

Kudos to Bennacer who really stepped up tonight. Great fight for the ball at the goal, and great pass to Leao. Keep up!

Maybe Morata can help Futuro in their relegation battle

So I believe with this win we've qualified at least to the play off round. 1-0 slim victory but never really felt threatened by Girona. Great Leao goal and decent defending for once.

Rafa was great, so was Pavlovic and Mike. Theo was horrible!!
Morata also very bad.

We didn score that second goal and were lucky they didnt score becouse they certainly had their chances.

Still can't believe we spent all that freaking time chasing our CF of the future and ended up with Morata. The guy has literally never been a good scorer his entire career, and we acted like he was going to solve all our problems

Conceicao should really consider: Maignan- Walker- Thiaw- Pavlovic- Musah- Fofana- Reijnders-Theo- Pulisic- Leao- Gimenez/New striker. We cant have Theos liability in defence, he needs more cover.

Good point. I can see why club may not want to spend extra money to take ineligible players with the team but this was a home game.

Italy might be getting a 5th CL spot due to strong coefficients. If that's the case we may be able to get into CL finishing 5th.... Have to hope the CL table stays as is currently and Atalanta at least tie v barca and we and inter win will make a good dent. Just what I've been reading elsewhere can anyone confirm?
