Milan and Inter have reached an agreement with the architectural firms Foster + Partners and MANICA to design a new stadium.
If Milan City Council gives final approval to the sale of the "Great Urban Function San Siro," the two firms will design a new, shared sports facility for the Rossoneri and Nerazzurri.
The new stadium is planned as part of a city revitalization project covering approximately 281 000 m². The planned capacity of the new stadium is 71 500.

Actually a pretty good idea. But its highly unlikely. The moment you say Baresi, people say: Milan. The brother is the deputy Baresi

Just keep it as San Siro. No need to change. Although merda will probably push for Meazza. Officially though, it'll be known for whoever buys the naming rights.

Not official still though. The council (whatever that is) has to still vote and apparently there still haven't been enough votes to secure the sale of the land. Even after the sale is made official (if it is), I forsee delays and problems afterwards, regarding what can and can't be demolished, built, etc. This is Italy guys. There is absolutely ZERO reason to be confident in this stuff. Not until ground is broken, at least.

Milan city councillors approve of sale of San Siro to both Milan and Inter. Finally there is big progress. But truthfully there will be more red tape and hoops to jump through.

Already talk of 2031 ready but appeals and more left. In the end a shared stadium is not really that exciting to me, extra revenue or not.
