Zlatan: Top, Flop or Somewhere Between Both?

Another Big Game, another Ibra no-show! His performance in last night's game wasn't that bad, it's just that when the team needs him to perform on the big stage, he chokes more often than not.Dodgy

Hmm, can't really decide what to choose, somewhere between average and a class act, he's got everything, but sometimes (mainly in big games, not every big game of course) he just disappears, can't explain why.

The thing I don't like about him is that he slows down the play almost every time he's in the box or near it.

Still most of the time he's magical.

Wait, I know people say he chokes on big stage but... if you don't allow him to rest for 2 months, and play him almost every single game, how do you all of a sudden expect him to deliver?

Let's be fair. Pato (who did OK in the game with a power shot that goes just wide to the right; also worked around Gomez to create the chance for Robinho) and Robinho (omg) were the same. Robinho is probably even worse: on a world-class stage, he miscued his shooting completely. Unacceptable.

Ibra wasn't good; but our attack has been terrible throughout the night. No excuse: all of these players need to understand that big games require the right attitude, and right attitude doesn't come just in one day: it takes effort, consistency, and more effort.

Hope everyone will learn from this experience. I surely miss Sheva-Kaka`-Inzaghi. They may not be as strong as Ibra-Pato-Robinho, but man these three players have disciplines, desire, and more desire.

Ibra's a world class player who has the qualities to have potentially been compared to Van Basten. However, for me his attitude at times gets the best of him and mentally he lets himself down, particularly when he thinks he's better than he is. This season we've seen how amazing he can be, but recently I think it's fair to say he's regressed again and I don't think it's physically he's tired, but rather mentally he's not showing the hunger he had in the first half of the season.

Tired or not, if you can't score a single crucial goal in your entire 10 years career with top players around you in big clubs, you surely are a Big-Flop. Don't think that 14 Serie-A goals make him legendary. A useless forward like Di Natale can score 20 Serie-A goals. Pato for all the injury crisis and poor form is still more likely to decide a big game than this clown. I still remember his miss against Liverpool in his Juve days. He missed a complete open goal & Juve went out. I couldn't believe how some one who was put in the team ahead of Del Piero would do that sort of thing.

World class player who will score A LOT next season. It's just that he uses too much energy when playing. He does not conserve enough and makes too many (relatively) useless moves. If he is given a rest each 3 months, I see him playing like he did before the winter stop: World class, and a beautiful player to watch

I said this before and I will say it again: Before he was complaining that he was tired as hell for playing EVERY single game, he scored goals noone could've scored. I mean, scoring in the far left corner 8 meters from the far line ? He walked past other players like it was nothing, scored and passed like it was no effort at all. But now he is tired and we need to rest him dearly.

Zlatan is a fantastic player. The problem with our team are the middlefielders. Seedorf is now almost in the end of his carrier. Without Andreas Pirlo, the team cannot attack normal and the ball rarely gets to Zlatan with low passes. We need middlfielders who can run, pass and dribble. Without them Zlatan will always run to catch 40 metters balls from the sky.

The midfield had a fine game against spurs at White Hart lane, and have had put in similar performances over the course of the season so I don't think that's a major issue.
