Summer Mercato 2011
You completely miss my point, you took it as if I was trying to bash brazilian footballers/football? I will admit and dont be offended La liga, EPL and Seria A are a level over the brazilian league, alot of talent is born and raised there but most of them leave to European clubs by 19-25 yrs old sometimes even younger. I'm sure milan did help groom kaka into what he was, not talent wise, but what I meant was it takes more then just talent to succeed, the team your playing for needs you to find confidence with out confidence trust me a player can be half of what they could be. Kaka broke into the team very well and impressed and I didn't say he was garbage at Sao paulo but theres always a chance of a plyer not flourishing the same in sao paulo then in milan, when your on the ucl stage and your facing lets say real madrid and your staring c.ronaldo and ozil and the likes and your in a full stadium everyones expecting you to make the difference confidence plays a big role in this. Milan seemingly has a very serene environment, which is why i said brazilians most the time succeed with us for that matter any talent should. Leonardo plays a big role in this because hes brazilian and im sure he'll make the best of ganso but we can't lose out on him. ganso is to big of a talent to let go and im 100% with good confident mind he'll be our next superstar. Him and pato should be wonderful and there chemistry will also improve for ur NT too

also benfica signed bruno cesar for corinthians good bad? did we miss out on this? hes a cam
TO be honest, I know Ganso is super talented and could be the best pure CAM since ZZ, but he is really not the final piece of the puzzle for Milan to build a dynasty. He could be a huge piece but certainly not the final one. So even if Inter signs him, I would not be piss as long as Milan sign other players who is truly MILAN MATERIAL and not someone who fill the bench with numbers. Guys like Honda, Nagatomo, Macerlo, Bale, David Luiz, Hernanes and the list goes on and on. Players who will automatically be an improvement to the starting 11. Quite honestly, I can see at least 3 spots where Milan can find players to improve.

On Ganso, Leonardo vs Thiago Silva as both calls him and talk with him about inter and Milan, Thiago Silva notices Leo's danger in Ganso deal and trying to avoid it. Whatsoever, Robinho and Pato are sleeping?

From Primavera, Verdi is the most talented player, i'd like to keep him in first team...

Milan offered 12 m euros to City for Kolarov( SourceBig Grinaily Mirror) (Some says its euro, some says its pounds)

Kolarov is offensively very good, uses the ball very well, his crossing and shooting are pretty good. Offensively he is the right player for us...

Both Robinho and Pato have publicly asked for Ganso to join Milan in the past week or two. Wink

I think you've pretty much summed up Kolorov well. Going forward he could well be a good player for us, the question over him is defensively whether he's solid enough.

Looks like Ganso's representatives did meet with Galliani in a meeting for about 1 and a half hours, where Galliani apparently outlined Milan's plan for Ganso. Supposedly they left impressed, but bear in mind they still supposedly have a meeting scheduled with Inter before they leave Italy.
i dont think we will have problem about signing both ibra and Boateng, as Preziosi already declared he is ours... They cant take Borriello because he is over their limit. (We can sell Borriello and use the money to land ibra and Boateng fully)

its said that Mexes is already ours but we will sign one more CB. Possible target is Astori. Both are quality and national team players...(Mexes is free, Astori wont cost much)

i think that we could sign a quality FB for left side, but we can sign anyone, Coentrao, Taiwo, Cissokho or Kolarov. All of them would appeal to me...(Fucile, we still didnt link with him, would also makes me happy)

Then we can focus on our midfield problem and add one quality midfielder to midfield trio then signing a CAM or trequartista... it seems Ganso is our first target. But i wont be unhappy with Eriksen or Honda, or Lucas Marcelinho...

Then signing a Cruz who can provide 10-12 goals who can accept bench role, would be right signing for us. a vice ibra...Pippo is too aged, and he is just finishing, he cant do this role with all respect to him...

Mexes, Astori, One of (Kolarov, Coentrao, Taiwo, Cissokho), one quality midfielder for trio(2 way midfielder) One of Ganso, Eriksen, Lucas Marcelinho, Honda), vice ibra...

Then we are set...

3 big name signings, for first team, left full back, 2 way midfielder and CAM... Then bench signings such as Astori, Mexes and vice ibra...

I agree with most of it, but Milan needs two new midfielders. We cannot count on Bommel, most likely one of Gattuso-Ambrosini, Seedorf, maybe even Pirlo next year...

Flamini, Boateng, Merkel, Strasser, one of Gattuso-Ambro will be here. Emanuelson maybe... One player like Ganso and one player like Montolivo are needed, not neccesarily (sp?) him...

Also keep in mind, and be real, that Mexes in not a player that can replace Nesta. The player was Luiz, we missed a big CB in that man...

Kolarov is a good choice, a firm, solid player, with tactical football brain and attacking power. Astori is an ok player, not much more.

IT'S MRKI!!! Sagrin
I want us to have a young back four with a italian presence , berlusconi will always make sure theres some sort of italian presence , almost everybody in italy ( except interesti ) makes fun of inter of being a team with no identity , why can't milan be like barcelona for catalunya ? , id like to see montolivo , crescito , santon , mabey astori , we really screwed up not having bonucci and ranocchia looks worst than japans reactors , looks like a accedent waiting to happen in defense , either we upgrade promote merkel or have to pay a massive amount for either pastore or fabregas , otherwise if we can't pressure we wont win , either get rid of cassano or robinho , and use a real formation wtf is allegri's problem ?
i dont rate Mexes that high as well, but however we dont have much options after we lost Luiz to Chealse, as i was rating him as the second best CB after our Thiago Silva...Miranda is a good CB, Manuel Fernandes is very promising, Ajax's Cb that also Barcelona interested in, costs too much. He costs around 20 m euros...Mexes and Astori are much better players than the likes of Bonera, Papa...Nesta can play more 2-3 years...if we can have a backline like this, Abate-Nesta-Silva-Kolarov... we could have solve many problems, as in attack, we will have enough service with Kolarov, he is not like Abate on final moves, as Kolarov's shooting, crossing and dribbling is very good. (considering ibrahimovic factor, Kolarov will be very useful thanks to his movement on the flank, dribbling ability, crossing and shooting)

i still remember how Fletcher and Park dominated our midfield last year, as they were everywhere on midfield, pressed, tackled, runned 90 mins, get the ball in our own area, move up with the ball, create something, movement,
quick...They did it all...They even scored...They did 2 way midfielder work very well that day...

We need players like this, to keep the ball in rival' area more, offensively to be more dangerous, for our movement e.t.c.

Merkel is not ready for first team job, as he lacks experince, he will get better game after game, if Merkel can improve on defensive zone and can be a solid defensively, there is no reason not to play him...Honestly Merkel is ideal player for LCM...if we can add one 2 way midfielder to midfield trio (i'd like to add one more)

if you ask me, i'd sell Flamini and sign a player like this...Van Bommel will leave...Gattuso did awesome job this season. Ambrosini, Seedorf or Pirlo can leave at the end of this season...

People kept saying Milan needs to sign Italians, problem is that there ain't a lot of talent IT players at the moment that is worth their asking price. Juve will sell Bonnucci and Chelleini only if a team offer them David Luiz money, same goes for Ranocchia and Santon for Inter. And non of them are at the level of T.Silva or Luiz. There is not any IT midfielder that could improve the current Milan midfield, which is very sad, as Milan midfielders are not world beaters. There is no great IT front man at the moment, as Mario is just a problem child and I can see him being another Adraino, Rossi is good but he lacks that special quality to make the jump to the level of Totti and DP. Sorry to say, but I just don't see any teams dominating Europe with a strong IT based players.
Thus, if Berlu really wants to win, building a team with a foundations of Brazilians like now is the way to go. Just imagine if Hernanes is playing instead of MVB, Sandro instead of Flamini, Ganso instead of Cassano or Robinho, Jucelei instead of Slowdorf, Macerlo instead of Any of the LBs, Hulk coming off the bench when the other team park the bus, how good would Milan be.
im happy with Robinho so far. He did great things for us. His only problem is finishing, Whenever he improves it more, he will do a lot better...Just a note, Robinho scored 10 goals for us...His dribbling ability, his pace, his tracking back, his moveable game, for us very important this season. if he had strength and finishing, he would do a Messi job for us...

Not happy with Seedorf, Flamini for instance. Happy with Van Bommel, as i didnt expect more from him but he is doing his best, he kills rival attacks, good passing ability, good tackling ability with a little bit dirty game, He uses his body much better than Flamini for instance on tackling, destroys well, he is like a wall in midfield...

im expecting more from Flamini, but When i think of him, i just remember his reckless tackles, his out of target shoots,
his wrong passes e.t.c. He lacks last move, he is an hardworking player, however he lacks last touch, He is not a Van Bommel on defensive role...

Pirlo was doing well on left side until he is injured, MGT will make the right choice whether renewing his contract or not...He is earning too much, i dont know if he accepts a 1 year or 2 year length contract...Same goes for Ambrosini...

Above all, Milan lacks quality in midfield, Milan lacks 2 way midfielders...if we have a chance to let go Ambro, Seedorf, Pirlo, Van Bommel, Flamini, we shouldnt miss it and replace them with one or two 2 way midfielders...

We have Didac Vila, Antonini, Jankulovski, Zambrotta, Bonera for Left full back and still we have problem on left side...
Noone of them can make a Kolarov or Maicon effect on left side offensively...Even they cant be solid defensively...(except Vila, as we havent see it yet) But it seems he is not ready for first 11...at least for Allegri...

When i think of Sandro for instance, i see a wall defensively, a beast on defensive role, intelligent player who is tecniqually and tactically strong...

When i think of Jucilei, i see a player who work hard between 2 boxes, can do 2 way midfielder job...

When i think of Hernanes, i see a player with great leadership, who can dictate the tempo very well, with great passing,
movement, with very good shooting...
Don't forget that tomorrow is April 1st and is therefore April Fool's Day. So if there's a rumour like "Milan to buy Ganso, Neymar, Aguero and Messi for £5 million" don't believe it! Big Grin
