Summer mercato 2012
Considering that we will do this mercato "milan style" both Acerbi and Constant are very solid signings. I personally have not seen to much of Averbi, but most of us have that same firm optimism that he will be a start just like with Thiago before playing a single game for us.

Constant on the other hand is a player that is suited to Allgerie`s system, Im sure he`ll do fine in Milan. Better than Traore for sure Big Grin.
No ho visto Superman volare, ma ho visto Super Pippo segnare. I supereroi esistono davvero.
Galliani: "Ibra will wear number 10 now." (with Seedorf gone)

I think this is pretty much confirmation that Ibra is going nowhere.

I guess Slowdorf is officially gone. This is like winning the CL for me. I had been waiting for this day for a very very long time. I am so proud of MIlan to finally have the balls to kick him out.
Interesting news about Acerbi and Constant. BTW can anyone tell me what is Constant's best position, his strengths and weaknesses?

Personally I think Constant is best used as a mezzala or R/LCM (usually on the left when I've seen him in the past), though he can play other roles and I think at Genoa was used as trequartista at times this past season.

Technically he's sound and seems above average, while physically he's quite athletic, not slow, strong and can impose himself. He's more offensive minded imo than defensive, though he does work hard with defensive duties. As an alternative to Muntari, I think he can work well. Not quite as powerful, he is probably technically more impressive.

Thanks Dev, I just watched some youtube videos of him and it seems he has some nice dribbling skills also.
Interesting news from Galliani today. He thinks Montolivo will play RCM and LCM will be Nocerino. Backup is Constant, Traore, Strasser (maybe) and Urby. Ambrosini is backup for DM, which we are looking for a new player to replace Van Bommel.

Didac has apparently impressed enough at Espanyol and will remain for the new season, while Robinho was also confirmed as staying, with Galliani saying we want to keep him

Didac will be great as he shows he can get the job done.
Robinho is a surplus if Cassano and Pato are healthy. Beside, I think getting a player like Honda who can play as ACM, CM, CF and SS will be a lot more useful than Robinho.
Interesting that Strasser is staying as he will be useful. Urby on the other hand is another surplus player with Constant and Traore coming this off season.
As for Monty, I am still not impress by him, as I think having Honda and Nocerino as both RCM and LCM with Boateng as ACM provides more movement and attacking power than someone like Monty. Personally, I think Monty is suited more a flat four midfield than the current Milan midfield.
A couple of more fine tuning and this Milan will be really good, Galli. YOu actually got players who can sell for money while others does not need replacing.
I don't know why everyone is speaking so highly of Constant. He was AWFUL last year on a very bad team that almost got relegated. He will not start for Milan, mark my words. If he does, we're screwed.

Galliani: "Robinho will stay, as will Prince. Kaka will not return. Ibra will wear #10, and one more midfielder will arrive by Aug 31..."

Linked with Kaka, Sahin, today.. also Tevez again.

Also the major rumor for today is that Galliani will bring back Didac Vila for Left Back to share with Urby (whoever is better gets the spot), and Antonini, De Sciglio, and Abate for RB.

I still would like Balzaretti if possible. I'd consider selling Robinho, Taiwo, Mesbah, and even Urby, if it meant funding Balzaretti + Hernanes.
Hernanes in the midfield with Boateng, Montolivo, and Nocerino would be great. Sahin would be icing on the cake and then I'd say we are finally "good"

By the way, in regards to Muntari, he will get a 2.5 Year deal worth 1.7M per year starting in January when he recovers from injury. So, technically, he's not a Milan player right now.
I think by the end of summer Taiwo and Mesbah will be sold for money and Urby might be gone too depending on how good Didac will be at training by August. While using these funds for Strootman.

Selling Mexes to fund for Dede will be a dream for me.
