Think we'll see them in the squad come August?

I am much more looking forward to seeing our own youngsters than any big name have-beens.

Like i was saying, i hope this happens ^ article sais kaka in cassano outBig Grin

I find it very interesting that we have freed up our #22 jersey. Where as I'd like to see who will take our #7 shirt and if anyone will take our #11 those are two big numbers after all, since Boateng took #10 that looks like he will definitely be a part of our future. Kaka talks getting heated, while apparently we've offered 13mln euros.
Yanga-mbiwa should be more news on him in the next few days as i don't see them rejecting our offer if we stand firm, he'll be free the next season...
Still being linked with matri and tevez as more solid links, robben is just some BS on the side
Another thing that really bothers me about this Kaka rumor is that: We (Milan) would be doing Kaka a huge favor, not the other way around. Kaka is desperate coming back to Milan (or going elsewhere) because he does not want to miss the World Cup 2014 in Brazil. Every Brazilian player wants to be there, which alone would be a huge achievement for them. Kaka is going to miss it for sure at this rate, if he can't even get to play game at his club. Seriously, he never really played well in Real Madrid, not at all. He never wanted to come back to Milan in his first bad season, second bad season, or even during the third bad season, why all of a sudden now? I think that he is dropped from Brazil NT, that he is not in the Olympics team (like Silva or Marcelo), that he is not even in the Real Madrid's summer squad made him realize that he can no longer afford losing time. Considering that the squad is usually pretty much set six months or a year before the tournament, Kaka really only has one full season left (2012-13) to regain the trust of Brazilian coach. That's where Milan the rescuer kicks in. Dodgy I am sure that he loves Milan, but Milan certainly is not his first priority. WC'14, money, religious stuff, Real Madrid, we would be happy if Milan was his fourth or fifth.

If he is this desperate, we should simply ask for him to work it out with Real Madrid for release from his contract. But no, he doesn't want to burn that bridge and ruin his "good image"; and certainly if he did that, he would also be in a bad position dealing with Milan, though I don't see Milan going harsh on him (we should.) Why 13 million transfer free? A huge mockery of Milan's prudent or even cruel (in the case of Silva&Ibrahimovic) transfer policy recently. and his salary (even though I don't know the amount), and more concerning, his injury and as a result of which, lack of pace. Bottom line, Kaka is not going to help Milan as much as Milan helping him. Part of me still likes him and appreciates what he has done for Milan, but I certainly don't want to see him back at this Milan. Maybe when Berlusconi sells the team to someone really rich, I don't mind having a 35-year old Kaka back sitting on the bench earning 20M a year, reminiscing on the good old time. But not right now, not right after we sent Silva away for "fiscal health" of the club.

How long before someone else steps in and offers what Montpellier wants?
Xudong, for kaka to make the wc14 wouldn't he have to first play his best for us ? He's doing us a favour if he comes because he's taking a wage cut and he will be an upgrade to any other cam's we have. He'd been injured all this time or i guarentee he'd break a starting spot in madrid. and kaka definitely puts milan well before madrid.

reply to aril^

mbiwa wants to play for milan. unless a team like barcelona or chelsea or madrid or bayern approach him then I don't think we should be worried about anything. Plus, the montpellier president has to be a real idiot to reject a 7mln offer to just let him go for free next summer.

Just in case that I wasn't clear enough, I didn't say that he would contribute nothing to Milan (he remains an uncertainty at this moment due to his injury and lack of form), and yes, he would have to help Milan to help himself out; what I said was that he would not help Milan as much as Milan helping him. Milan can certainly function without him; But he has no future at all with Real Madrid as long as Mourinho is still at helm.

It is funny that Mourinho seems to have some natural hatred towards Shevchenko and Kaka. Neither got proper chances under him. Kaka was fit for some while and when he played, he actually performed decently (I remember he had 8 goals and 13 assists or something like that), but Mourinho was very clear that Kaka was only a substitute. That's why I believe that he will never break into the starting 11, let alone becoming their leader. Excluding him out of even the summer squad further confirmed no future for Kaka at Real Madrid. He had to leave, and he could only go to two places: PSG or Milan. Kaka knows very well that he can not afford going to a new team and wasting half a season adapting to the new environment.

He is desperate.
Just to be clear enough,, i also wasn't saying you said he'd contribute nothing but you made it sound as if kaka is garbage. He's not, he's still a good player and his elegance and vision will never go away, we lack something of a pure cam, we need someone like kaka. Yes, his wages and the pricetag madrid have put on him is a little out of reach especially considering his age it wouldn't be the smartest of moves.

We offer him his way back home, milan is always his club at heart. We also offer him a chance to reach his goal of wc 14 in brazil.
BUT he offers:
1.leadership which we lack at this point with out silva ibra nesta seedorf gattuso so on so fourth.
2.His natural position (cam) is something we've been missing since he left. We need a player who is creative and he can still run believe it or not, just last season i was watching a madrid game which i noticed he didn't lose all his speed, a good 20% is gone but he is still faster then ibra, still faster then cassano.
3.He will have to take a pay cut.
4.You say he only cares about money and madrid, when really he loves milan and if he does take a pay cut to come to us that will also prove you wrong on saying he only cares about money, maybe his father does.
5.The reason kaka didn't leave in his first few seasons is because he wanted to at least offer real a season of what he was worth (considering they paid close to 70million euros) he felt that it would be unfair to madrid to leave after having paid all that money and him not contributing enough in return, that's like any other player who would be in his situation.
6.If you watch videos or highlights of kaka in 2012, you'll clearly see everything he had at milan he still has, minus some of his speed, if we make up for that with two fast attacker (pato, binho) it won't really matter. Other then sheva, kaka was playing with gila and pippo upfront most of the time who were both quite slow , pippo being deadly infront of goal and 80% of the time finishing off kakas assists and gila being overall just an average player.

and finally, i'd like to point out that when kaka first came back from injury and had a string of amazing performances everyone was saying "kaka is back!" only to be injured again. His injuries are a concern but there is no doubt that he can offer a lot to our team, at least more then cassano who lasts 60% of the match. + he is a milan icon so he is always welcomed for me.

And kaka is by NO means desperate. Many teams with big $ would take him in a heart beat with a very similar salary involved, man city or PSG for example. a lot of clubs would take him. Maybe he is desperate to leave madrid, but in terms of finding a new club it wouldn't be a problem for him.

Also, adapting to a new environment at PSG wouldn't be difficult for kaka. He has carletto as his coach who will make him feel more then comfortable, and both maxwell and thiago silva who will help him feel at home, adapting there wouldn't be a problem.. maybe to the style of football, but france would be a piece of cake and a lot easier then seria a or La liga so also that would not be a problem. The only problem i see with a club purchasing kaka is his injuries and thats it.

Well, it could be like Cabaye -- already an int'l player and won the double with Lille -- that was bought by Newcastle at £4,8 millions, or perhaps Mbiwa is not deemed that good other than by us.

Btw, anybody interested in Olympics football? I watched two great games tonight. Japan beat Spain 1-0 but could've scored at least three more, and Brasil - Egypt that ended 3-2.

I would be surprised if Mbiwa wasn't valued by other than us, he's 23 and already the captain of the french league champions. He also just missed the french EC squad. I wouldn't mind us getting him.

I saw the highlights from those matches. Japan's counter attacks were lightning fast, but Spain's defence was a total catastrophy. Seems like Brazil were cruising in the first half, and then relaxed a bit too much in the second. Too bad Pato didn't start the match... They still got a decent attack with Neymar, Hulk and Damiao.

I watched the first 10 minutes of Japan-Spain second, but couldn't gather enough interest to keep watching. Then I was heavily debating if I should watch Brazil game. I was looking forward to this game due to Silva and Pato, but as soon as I heard that Pato started from the bench, I decided to go for a nap instead.

Great games, huh? BlushDodgy
