Diarra never wanted Milan, plus he's money hungry. Real Madrid play double pivot 2 CDM's (Khedira and Alonso) and they need a backup. Diarra is that backup.

However, De Jong is the best CDM on Man City. Now they have Sidwell & Barry. I guess they'll play a 4-4-2 this year with Barry and Toure in the middle.

Surprised they let him go. I'm not crazy about De Jong who is a real violent defending midfielder, but he's good defensively and now Montolivo can play further up with Boateng and the Strikers.

We still need an Attacking Midfielder. Kaka, Hernanes, or even Diamanti and I'm happier, despite the many holes in the team.

Really tough to say how good we are going to be. Depends on how well we gel together. Late additions mean slow starts. We now have a few players with lots of potential to play big roles (monti, kpb, niang, pato, robihno). We still have a weak backline that is slow.

Our best bet is that juventus make it far in CL and we make it just far enough. The truth is that no Serie A team has a realistic chance of winning it without a meteor destroying both Spain and Germany. With more playing time the less effective Pirlo will be for Juve overall.

De Jong is a great signing. Cant believe the cheap tactics worked, but Milan.is still a second tier team and cant believe Berlu kept the team instead of auctioning it off to someone who is willing to spend and care.

As for the CL draws, might not be as tough as before, but the other three teams are not weak teams considering the current Milan squad.

We tried that. We played Flamini-Ambrosini-Gattuso. I still have nightmares because of it.

Juventus doesn't have a player who can play on Pirlo's level. In fact, no one does.
That's why Pirlo is such a two-sided sword. Great when properly used, but when tired becomes a liability and is not easily replaced. Especially when the team is used to having him on the field, sub him and the team is lost.
