Any exciting left back prospects in Brazil at all? Surely the moust difficult position on the world to find a genuine talent at the moment.

You´re right, it´s incredible how difficult it became to find a great prospect at LB in the entire world. Here we have some very talented at the offensive side, but without the tools to improve on defense. And the one with the tools and talent(Diogo from São paulo) to become great, until now, did nothing at the pro level...
Brasileirao will start this week and will be more easy to see all the teams and their prospects...
ganso will be a good player but do you think his injuries will hold him back from reaching his full potential sort of like pato? we cant have two of our best players with injury problems to compete in CL we need everyone as healthy as possible imo

People are taking this new Ganso injure out of proportion, WCmilan.
It was a muscle injure because of the amount of games playe in a row(Wednesday and Sunday) in a row. Plus, there´s no real Pre-season here in Brazil because of the States championships.
Now, we need to keep an eye on his knee...
Brasileiro, do you think Lucas Marcelinho is ready for a team like Milan right now? as we REALLY need a CAM and he has to perform immediately. Ganso is 22yo while Lucas is only 18 wich may be too young...
And both have very different styles, but who do you thing his playing style is best suited to our team?

After to see Lucas debut with Brazil senior NT in England, I have no doubt the mentality to handle the pressure he will face in a big club in Europe is there. I was impressed at the last Brazilian Championship with Lucas, because he was literally throwed to the fire at such young age and delivered.
São Paulo team was droping to relegation zone and fired their coach. With the promotion of the primavera coach to the Senior team, he brought Lucas out of the youth team and gave the kid the AMD position. This move just brought life to an almost dead São Paulo team and it was amazing to see an young boy like him leading a team like São Paulo back to the top positions.
Imo Lucas may have a Pato´s like impact if he come in the future. Amazing talent, used to pressure, hard worker, high character, plays bigger than his size...Can´t see this kid failing in Europe.
Hard to choose between Ganso and Lucas... It is up to what the coach want. Ganso has the edge at experience, but imo Lucas can be a Neymar type of talent. What is amazing... But you asking me a bold prediction, right? I will go out an say that even less experienced, Lucas would be my choice.
I can´t wait to see our attack at the next Copa America. I think Menezes will try this:

1) I didn't know that you rate Sandro that high?
2) Where is David Luiz? I remember that you really liked him, and said that he could be even better than our own Silva? He had a brilliant start at Chelsea, but just made a hugely costly mistake which basically buried Chelsea's hope to win the EPL championship this year. Your opinion on him hasn't changed, has it?

If you look back at my thread in the old forum, you will see that I talked high about him(and Giuliano) after one South America under-20 championship where they were decisive for Brazil´s title. I hyped Sandro and Giuliano a lot, but at the same time recognized that our Milan dind´t use a player like him at the front of defense. We used Pirlo and for that reason I thought Sandro wasn´t an option... What leads me to hype Hernanes.

No my friend, it hasn´t change...
Still rate him very high. He´s an amazing young defender, but imo right now our best CB´s are Alex and T. Silva. That huge mistake is part of the maturation of a young defender. Just look at the amount of mistakes Ranoccia(sp?) is doing at his first season at Inter... David Luiz just arrive at EPL and already won a Player of the Month award...and as CB. Thats not easy...
Alex doesn´t have the flair and skills of T. Silva and D. Luiz, but the guy is the ultimate CB. You put him on a forward and the poor guy will have a hard time. Plus, theres no defender like him at the aerial game. It´s rare to see a forward win a ball in the air against him.
Did you saw his display at the second half of that game? And all that coming from a surgery on the knee. Alex is a beast and imho the best CB of the three...

EDITED: Btw, just to make it more clear, if it was up to me, the four CB´s that I would take to Copa America would be Alex, T. Silva, D. Luiz and Dede. And the last one, only after test him at our next to friendlies before the Copa.

No, I didn't watch the game. Actually, I only watched the highlight of Luiz's mistake and the report that Ancelotti seemed outraged at him. Anyway, I still feel awful we didn't try to snatch him while he was at Benfica. Now that he is at a "big club" Chelsea, I think he is settled. We can forget about him.
