According to a "calciomercatonews.com" by Jose Alberto, FIFA agent and expert of the South American market, Erik Lamela Ganso was overtaken in the race to a Milan shirt.

According to Alberto, not just the Rossoneri would be interested, but the times were ripe for action: "I confirm the interest of Milan for Lamela. Ganso is always far more to address both physical and on those flights. For the Argentine but the time is right, the president of River Passarella is anxious to sell the player to make cash, owing to changes in the team's disastrous both in sports and economy. "

new pato (as in young wonderkid)! Smile Great one for the future

Reminds me of left footed version of Alexis Sanchez at River more than anyone:

Sanchez at river:
Do you remember last year there was talking about GAZAPON to invest in the team this?
What happend to that talking?
There's more of a chance Lamela will be more talented then Ganso, but the problem is Lamela can't make a direct impact, or for that matter can't play so much directly after his transfer.. If our objective is to win the CL next season Lamela isn't the player we need, as talented as he is. The thing I am scared of however is what if we do get Lamela and inter get Ganso.. that would be terrible, i dont wan't to lose either player, i hope pastore doesnt go to another italian team.. those 3 players along with neymar are players that you wont know what potential they'lll live up to, they might be messis equal or surpass c.ronaldo or be our next kaka, they all havve the potential... Messi imo was developed very well by barca it seems, when r80 used to play for barca as r10 he was their messi now, when messi played he was nowhere close to how he is now, im speaking maybe 4 years ago 5 but look how much hes improved.. I would like Sanchez/Pastore over Lamela/Ganso just because they proved in Seria A, or Kaka, but I also don't want to lose lamela or ganso , i wish we could just buy all 5 of themBig Grin
What's all this talk about a Vice-Ibra? lolol

We have Ibrahimovic, Pato, Cassano, Robinho & Inzaghi. Sorry guys but no room for any more Strikers. We will only play with 2 at a time anyways. Ibrahimovic is our Second Striker, Pato is our Target Man. Inzaghi or Beretta are our alternative target men. Cassano & Robinho are alternative Second Strikers.

Everyone keeps saying Hernanes who would be great but we have not been linked with him since he was in Brazil. As Brasileiro said, we should have bought him when he was in Brazil, now it may be impossible.

I guarantee you only transfers that will be made will be in our midfield department, and my guess is 2 midfielders. No new Strikers and No new midfielders.

What scares me is that Berlusconi said he promises a gift of a "Champion". Lamela isn't a Champion, but Kaka is.... That's a Champion I think is done. I love him and always will but it could be a big risk bringing him in and thinking he will bring back UCL Trophy to Milan...
I think spending 5 mil on a back up GK is stupid, esp someone like Marchetti who needs to play in order to make the National team.

IF Lazio don't qualify, then Hernanes will be available. Probably for 20mil or so.
Spurs will be selling this term, and Sandro could be one of the them if the price is right. Also keep in mind that if they sell Sandro, they won't be selling him to another EPL teams. Ofcourse unless ManCity is willing to pay 40mil for him, thats another story. Beside, there are plenty of DM like Sandro around anyway.
Honda is listed at about 15mil. He had been injured this season but mainly due to over playing the last year. Funny enough, at wiki, his current club is MILAN.
Lamela or Lucas will probably be sign due to Ganso injury again. Or this is just a smokescreen for Santos to sell Ganso on the cheap.
While signing Taiwo and Mexes for free.
Anyway, if Milan is to sign these 3 or 4 midfielders, then the cost without wages should be around 60-80 mil.
But if they do not renew Pirlo, Slowdorf, Janku, and Legro while sell Flamini, Oddo, Bonera, Borreillo and Papa. The sale of those players should be around 30mil. Thus Milan only really needs to invest 30-50 mil. And if thats too much money for Milan to spend in a summer after winning the League with talks of Dynasty and winning the CL....then they must prey to all the Gods in the world that they will have the luckiest CL path ever, like Barcelona, Real, ManU, ManCity, Arsenal, Bayern, and others all got knocked out before playing Milan.
A bit out of topic, but anyone who are the players Milan is sending to Hong Kong for the 7s tournament. I know Baresi will be playing in the Senior game on Sunday, but have no clue who Milan are sending. I am actually hoping for Berretta or Verdi and others.
The reason I always include a vice-ibra in my possible squads for next year is because we saw what happened this year.. Ibrahimovic got a red card, Pato's injury prone, we can't take the risk of relying on Pato to be healthy all season, we cant rely on inzaghi to play more then 2 games consecutive as much as i love him, he'll play a role in crucial games however, So our only reliable striker is Ibra, even if he doesn't get red cards, keep in mind we have CL to play and Seria a all over again.. We saw what happened with robinho and cassano acting as our strikers, it didn't work out and won't // so how can anyone say we dont need a vice-ibra? It's actually crucial to sign a vice -ibra:S We can't rely on two strikers all season long with so many cups to play for, even with the addition of a CAM, that doesn't solve that problem.. Caraciolo and the likes probably wont make a big difference. Good news is, Forlan is linked to Barcelona, his price tag is only 10mln!! We can fund that by selling borriello! Borriello - forlan? Not even comparable imo forlan is a level over him and for only 10mln, thats a great price apart from his age but its not an issue as long as he stays fit, he's not all that quick to begin with anyways his main feature is his finishing and shooting accuracy, that's a skill that never dies
Neither Ganso/Lamela have the experience playing in Europe. So both of em have a lot to prove b4 being deemed WC. I still like both of em. But am of the opinion we buy Honda if he comes for about 15 mil. and get Lamela/Ganso as a prospect for the future. Coz getting either of em this summer and hoping for immediate success in the CL is quite seriously ridiculous. Plus we dont need reinforcements in any other area of the team this season. We are good in attack and in defence. We only need to rejuvenate our midfield. He already have vice-Ibra s in the team and we would need one only if Ibra intends to leave which i wouldnt really mind.
As far as Wikipedia goes, Honda is a Milan player.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keisuke_Honda
gabriel you are super obsessed with honda arent u... we haven't been linked to him since january (maybe even last august)... don't waste your energy.... we all like honda, but if you had one non-eu spot.... Ganso is definitely worth the spot more than Honda...but I agree, Honda is a player that can play in any 4 midfield positions and as a second striker, very useful, but he would come at a price of 15 and thats too expensive to be a bench player at this time...
For starter, Honda is a great player and for the record, I did not edit anything on Wikipedia.
Secondly, why would he be a bench player if he comes to Milan? Who will start over him? Boateng, and that's about it. Even if Ganso is sign, there is still room for Honda in the starting lineup. So I really don't see how Honda will be a bench player for Milan since if he arrives today, he can easily beat out any of the Milan midfielder for one of the starting spots in midfield.
Thirdly, even if Milan manages to sign players like Ganso, Essien and Hernanes who can start ahead of Honda in the midfield. Whats wrong with having a 15mil all purpose midfielder on the bench. It sure beats having one dimentional players off the bench. Injuries, forms, suspensions will play a factor in a long season. Beside, isn't Robinho cost Milan 18 mil last summer and he was sign as a first striker off the bench.
