When I said this I was banned for 6months at the other forum for being a "sexist"... Now the great Paolo Maldini says the same thing. I just don't see how a woman can control the technical aspects of the team/market. I just don't.
I also think it can't be any worse than Galliani, who is as awful as awful could be.

@ElMago99, just to split the hair  , I don't think Maldini said that Barbara Berlusconi cannot lead Milan because she is a lady. If a guy isn't an expert on football and footballers, I am sure that Maldini would have said the same thing about him.
But you were banned for 6 months for saying that? That is just outrageous. Just like Milan, there is too much politics too going on with the other forum, which is why I mainly post here. MM is the best. 
and I agree with Dev, that we should probably all discuss this same matter in one thread. :d

He doesn't say she can't lead the team because of her gender, he says he doesn't think she's an expert on football or footballers, which is a totally different comment. Quite frankly, I read it to mean she's someone who has no background in football and therefore needs to get people who know the sport and industry to help her.
I don't really care about gender and we've had this discussion before, so I won't go into that. The thing is, ever since her claim to lead or whatever you might call it came about, the rumours have always been about her surrounding herself with people who are people of football. Sogliano, Maldini, Baldini, Albertini, Prade and all the names linked to us are all people who have an extensive background in the sport, either as players or directors in building sides and more often than not, the rumour was bringing in a mix of ex-players and people who know football as a business.
I think this is what Maldini's commenting on when he talks about her surrounding herself with the right people.
We should post in one place but before we do that
As owner she or her father have every right to hire the person who will be in of charge of football (or at least have a say in conjunction with a CEO (Galliani or whoever)). That's different than Barbara deciding she likes a 4-4-2 or something.

The reason why I have come to respect Barbara is that it seems that she knows her limitations. I've never ever read that she wants to be in charge of everything. I've never even read anything with her saying that a certain player is good or not. She barely comments on the way we play either. What it seems to be happening though is that she wants people that know and understand the sport, to be in certain positions in the club and to take care of the sporting side. None of them to have the power to just make decisions on their own.
Everything that Barbara has said and done has been spot on. It's now revealed that she even contacted Paolo. Woman or man, doesn't matter to me when she seems to be doing the right things. She is also leading this stadium thing too.
Fact of the matter is that she probably knows nothing about football.....but it seems that she knows a lot about business management and within that it seems like she's learned how football clubs operate within the business world as well. I personally am completely on board.
Also, I don't find your comment sexist Emago. I see it as an opinion and its ridiculous to get banned for that. People have just become too sensitive. It is completely normal to think that a woman that has never been involved in football in any way is not able to manage a football club, let alone one like Milan. However, it's also completely understandable (and now her intentions are clear to me) to think that a business'woman' can lead a business....which is exactly what Milan is.
I would be worried if she starts yaping about tactics, players, transfers, etc. But clearly he has not done that nor does it look like she is interested in something like that. She wants people like Maldini to do that.

Sorry if I'm off topic, I'll go through the posts and be on topic next time when I can read through been really busy with these damn exams.
I hate our 4-2-3-1.. Our defense is already shit, this formation just exposes it more. I miss our 4-3-3, I love wide play and I love playing with wingers. El Shaarawy made his name in that position, so many young talents out there as well who can play on the wing effectively. I want either a 4-3-3 or a 4-5-1. I love Balotelli but I think he should be sold.. Maybe someone like Dzeko would be a notch down from him in talent, but at least he will give his 95-100% every game and problem free. With that being said, if Balotelli had a better structured team and better players around him he may very well be a superstar. I'd just sell him for the sake of reinvesting the money to have a fuller squad. I think at this point it's futile if our management doesn't reinvest money if we sell any stars, I'd imagine Galliani would literally get beat up or something by fans.

He said it depends on is hired , as in if good people are hired it will be good.
He did not say she can't do the job because she is a woman ,if it were a 29 yr old son he'd say the same ...that HE is not an expert on football on footballers.
Maldini is saying shes not an expert which she isn't.You're saying she can't because she's a woman and have been for quite some time.
Very different things.
