I got to agree with Brasiliero's general sentiment. Proven, unproven is hard to gauge. This is where you need scouts who can watch a player and tell if they are big club players, or just mid table players taking advantage of weak leagues (ex. Thiago Silva, Hernanes, Kaka performed in libertadores v. top clubs with players capable of playing in serie a/la liga/epl etc., but just as easily you could see someone with same 'stats' as kaka but he scored all his goals v. teams with horrible players). That's why you can't just look at numbers persay and say 'oh he's scored 25 goals in brazil, he's a big prospect or dismiss him as being 'just in south america'.
It's just the same with smaller european leagues. I could tell you from ucl performances, krasic and suarez are VERY capable of big club play. But many dismissed them as not proven, not worth price. Lamela for one was mediocre v. boca, but in fall, he was motm v. boca. He's had many other motm performances v. other big clubs like indepnmdiente, racing etc. The thing with him is, when you see him, the talent is clear but he's nowhere near Pastore (who led hurcan 2 points from title and scored big goals v. every one). Then again Pastore was a full year older.... So the gamble on his price is hard to say. I like Lamela could be world class, but it's a lot to gamble just yet. For me, I was SOLD on Ganso after his performance v. Sao Paolo last spring. When they had 9 men, it was truly impressive. Leadership + his play. But at same time, knee surgery + another injury, that's a HUGE risk. Certainly not worth 20+ mil to me anymore.

So MVB and Roma, great job. Goodbye, Pirlo, Ambro, Flamini, and Slowdorf. Hello, Hernanes, Honda, Sandro and Lucas.
Why r people getting into these Ganso Vs Lamela debate. As far as I am concern, Lucas is the man. Or should I say the boy.

Modric might be sold. Tottenham want to hold him, but he's too good to not play UCL. Man Utd want him, but tottenham would prefer to sell abroad. I'd be just as happy to have modric as hernanes.
If you haven't noticed... allegri wants 4 midfielders who attach and defend as a unit. Notice the way players like gattuso get forweard and AM's like seedorf/boateng got back. For this reason he's wanted Hamsik more than Pastore (whether he gets his way is another question....). But he's not interested in a natural trequartista, more having technical midfielders hwo can overlap and link up w/ forwards and each other. For this reason we've also seen links to players like Farfan, Perotti, Marin who are more 'wingers'. I mean heck he played Cossu (a winger) at CAM and got great results. It's about movement and workrate over defined roles, which i like. It makes milan FAR less predictable. Especially when you consider Robinho/Cassano's ability to roam wide and create space centrally for midfielder to run up (If we did get hamsik or pastore, they could easily chip in 15+ goals with robinho/zlatan etc.) but idea of this... -------Hamsik modric-----boateng ---------DM ooooooooOOOooOOO

What will Tottenham ask for modric something ridiculous no doubt.I cant see Flamini going and I think Ambro Rino will also stay so Pirlo and Seedorf will be gone.I'd like Hamsik over Modric for Serie A but Modric over Hamik fro CL, Can we just buy one and kidnap the other and put them in a blender ..lol

Thiago Silva signs until 2016 (milannews).

That's really a great news that Silva prolongs his contract even though I am sure that he will stay for Milan for so long as he seems very happy in Milan and continued again and again he want to follow Maldini step, just like he said when he just arrived in Milan.
Any news how much his wages?

Nice to know Silva has signed a long contract and i really hope he keeps to his word of being with Milan forever. Good move with MVB as well. Just gave him a short 1 year deal and glad he decided to stay. Seedorf was supposed to have his contract discussions today yea. Whats happening with that??

From a business and economical perspective Galliani has played his cards perfectly. He basically made the old champions "beg" for a contract. He signed with MVbommel and clearly gave a signal to seedorf and pirlo that either you will come to my terms or its goodbye. Ambrosini is clear stay since he will accept anything that will be offered (great character btw) which puts huge pressure on Gattuso to sign a pay cut or leave.
Tiago Silva and Mexes signing also were signs for Nesta (although he accepted a pay cut since months ago). Not that I approve this kind of behavior towards individuals who have give us so much, but a GM does what is supposed to do...and Galliani has risen above all in this situation.Bravo.
