Summer Mercato
I don't see how Galliani could possibly know anything more damaging about Berlu than that which we all already know, but I do agree that something weird is going on in the management. It may be interesting to see how it all shakes out. It also may completely destroy the club...

Cerci rumours getting louder.Toro want €18m for him.But they also would like Noce Matri Birsa Hmmmmmmm dare to believe ,those 3 and €8m to seal the deal ?...is it possible am I no longer the pessimistic guy that shoots all links down Smile getting rid of those 3 alone saves €9m in wages per year.

I'll believe it when I see it.

I believe that article because it says we'll sacrifice De Sciglio. I'd still rather keep De Sciglio than bring in Astori and Paulinho.

@jay, we should really offer all our mediocre players to Torino+ a little money for Cerci. Players like Emanuelson/Nocerino and Matri would make Torino stronger. Them 3 and Birsa for Cerci Big Grin
Should that happen, I would laugh my ass off. But I doubt Torino is stupid.
urgh, bad news is we're bookies favourite to get Ashley Cole. I really don't want this guy at Milan.

Had we destroyed Sassuolo, we would have been in EL.

Had we won the match 3-0, there would have been a public drawing to decide which team, out of Torino and us, would go to EL. That would have been great fun, even if we lost due to luck.

I'm sorry for Parma (well, Donadoni and the players) who really earnt a spot in Europe, but at the same time I'm also pleased for Torino. I think these teams have put in a greater effort with less resources and warrant a spot more than us.

That said, I also worry for Torino, who have gotten this achievement and yet are likely to sell their to best players this summer. Much like Udinese in recent years, Torino in Europe might not be good for coefficients.

However, a proposal like the one Jay mentioned is actually quite beneficial imo. Guys like Matri, Birsa and Nocerino aren't of the quality expected at Milan, but realistically are good players for what is expected to be a midtable side in Torino. It's very unlikely they will be targeting European places again next season, but these players would help give experience in Europe and offer them competitiveness in the league.

They are about to sell Immobile to Dortmund for around 20m and while Matri's not of the same quality, he would offer an alternative, especially as they risk losing their whole first choice attack. Birsa would offer some creativity, which will be lacking if they lose Immobile and Cerci, with only El Kaddouri really looking like a player to offer something. Finally, Nocerino is a really hardworking professional, which should fit well with Ventura's aggressive style of play.

This would give them some support in rebuilding should they lose their two stars (as well as potentially Darmian), as well as a healthy chunk of money to reinvest in the odd player of higher quality to try and grow.

The article says that we'd need to sell to try and finance these buys. Our first goal is to sell Balotelli, but should this fall through, then De Sciglio would be the backup.

Personally I don't think we'll struggle to sell Balotelli. His talent and young age means there's always going to be prospective buyers who feel they can get the best out of him. He's also shown more consistency in his contribution to goals since joining Milan than ever before.
Oh, almost forgot to mention, Sportsmediaset again has written an article that we're trying to get Santon by giving Newcastle Constant. While I'm not against getting Santon, it seems odd that we've started hearing about Abate wanting to renew now that Pippo will be coach. That would mean we'll be pretty well covered in fullback roles with Abate on the right and De Sciglio on the left. Don't really see the need to push for Santon when other areas need work.
Torino qualified for Europe, we didn't. How would any of our backup-players make them better? Cerci cried when he missed that penalty and thought Parma had won the place in Europe, would he cry again if he moved to Milan and missed out? Devilol
Their experience and the depth they'd add to the squad is where I think Torino win more than anything. There's talk of them losing some major players this summer, this would help ease the change.

Apparently Inzaghi's asked for a defender (CB), winger and CF for the summer (which if true means Balo is getting sold). The names we have for these roles in the article are Alex, Ibarbo/Biabiany (if Cerci doesn't happen) and Negredo. I have to admit I am not remotely excited by these names (maybe Alex if Rami stays).
I wish our management would do what Gattuso said, not to lie to the fans. I want to know our ambitions for both the near and distant future. Are there any hopes of being a top club or is our goal to have a nice Casa Milan where we can buy the shirts of Birsa, Constant and look at some old trophies?
Ashley Cole at Milan would be surprising. Not sure what the bookies know but even if we had his wage money I doubt Milan would be his choice.

He shouldn't have that choice. He's way too old...
Seems like Sacchi is turning down Milan due to "a lack of desire".
