Summer Mercato 2011
If we manage to replace:
- Pirlo by one of Cesc/Hamsik/Pastore/Ganso/Lucas Marcelinho (personal choiceSmile)
- Seedorf by one of Asamoah/M'Vila/Sissoko/Montolivo

Can anyone confirm if M'Vila & Sissoko are of Asamoah's level? (GeoTav?)

Montolivo is being mentioned because there is talk that Fiorentina wants Cassano so could be included in a swap deal and some cash. And if Cassano leaves then i think Diego for Euro 10Mio would be an excellent replacement and potentially an upgrade given his age.

Then having a midfield of Flamini(Gattuso) - VBommel(Ambrosini) - Asamoah(Urby) with Cesc(Boateng) in front looks very good to me

And Ronaldo will not work unless Zlatan is out
Isn't Montolivo on a free transfer..maybe I'm mistaken thought I read it somewhere .

Montolivo has one year left on his contract:

If Cesc is coming, then hopefully Flamini can be a great CM again.

He would only work this much for a real star player. It has to be someone from the top shelf. Someone who can make a difference. Someone who can make us believe in the Champions League title. Anything else would be a real disappointment.
To be honest, there is only one player who is I know 100% sure will take Milan to the next level for sure, barring any injuries to himself or to key players to the team, and that person is Messi. Anyone else is not certain. They could turn out to be a flop or turn out great but only Messi is a sure thing.
Messi is no god, mate. He can't lift Argentina NT by his own and Milan now don't have a trequasita.
He failed in one WC, heck, that was only one bad game and Germany played a perfect game. Prior to that game, Argentina was one of the favor in the tournament while people doubt Spain.

As I said,Messi is the only player that for sure can lift Milan to the next level.

Not having a trequasita does ot mean your team can't win the CL. ManU never play with one and they made the CL finals 3 times in 4 years. Barcelona don't play with one and they are in 2 finals in 3years. The game has change and it is not a must to have someone like ZZ at the trequastia spot.
M'Vila is more destroyer while Moussa Sissoko is a box to box player, he can also play in many position in midfield, Defensive midfielder, CAM, Left central midfielder e.t.c.

i didnt watch Sissoko much lately, as im not much interested in Ligue 1 lately.

i dont want both Montolivo and Diego. Diego failed at Porto, Juve and Wolsburg. He only succceded at Werder Bremen thanks to their very attacking minded system. They are saying that he failed at Juve because of lack of quality. i dont agree with them, Shevchenko carried Milan on his shoulders, De Sanctis, Gattuso of 2000, Giunti, Albertini, Saudati, Jose Mari... it cant be an excuse for Diego...

Diego or Montolivo are just waste of space and wages... 10 m euros is not small figure. Our offer for Asamoah is 10 m euros...

Lamela is great talent. i'd rather to have Lamela at Milan instead declined Diego. Diego cant be a LCM, Movement, fighting spirit, defensive game e.t.c what Diego lacks.

Allegri wants a box to box, 2 way midfielder for LCM... Thats what i said in transfer thread many times, we lacked a quality 2 way midfielders. (even 2 two way midfielders) Diego is not. Van Der Vaart is not...

I hate this notion that a) Messi is a failure with the national team and b) a single player can win a team a world cup or champions league. We live in a professional age where the organisation, fitness and tactical awareness of all teams is much better thanks to the professional game. This is why you can't compare between eras because of footballing evolution. You can say which one you think was the most entertaining, enjoyable or the player who was furthest ahead of his peers. No one man can win a world cup anymore and to be honest Maradona didn't win the world cup single handed anyway, that's just the way it is now spun to help glorify him more.
