I think the press can't say too much because they still need to be on the good side of the baldies. You can't get any news story from Milan if you are on their blacklist. And most journalists are probably not willing to sacrifice their professional career for the sake of pointing out the obvious.
Former players, on the other hand, probably just don't give a crap. It serves them no purpose to go and start a verbal tirade against the idiots in management. They have a life away from the game now, and they are going to enjoy it, not get involved with this mess without getting compensated.

I LOVE MILAN

In addition, he's one of the few players on the team that actually keep Milan relevant. I don't see Pazzini and Muntari filling the seats at the San Siro to be honest. I'm not saying that Balotelli is selling out the stadium but we don't really have many marketable players besides him. If we were actually able to get someone with quality I'd be on board but I am fairly confident that we would not. When I watched the game over here in Toronto, nobody gave a shit about anybody on the field - the stadium was literally almost a library. Right when they showed Balotelli on the big screen sitting in the stands, the whole stadium went wild and every time they showed him is the only time there would be a lot of noise. I'm just adding a relevant example to what you were saying, Balotelli, lazy or not, is in fact our most marketable and important player. Also, he still scores the most goals, he still plays better than most of our other players even if it's nothing too special. It just reflects the poor squad we have.. I would keep him, unless were getting Falcao or Benzema etc. but that wont happen. Selling him would just put the AC Milan brand further down the ladder.

Can Berlu send a couple of his under aged hookers to accompany him? We need to get this deal done ASAP.

In fairness quite a few ex-players have commented on the situation of the club (Gattuso, Nesta, Zambrotta, Maldini, Costacurta, Sheva, Cafu, Serginho and others). Most of them will be quite careful in how they criticise the club, while others have been much more direct. You look at what Maldini said and it was a clear attack against how the club was run, while Gattuso has repeatedly said that the management should be more transparent and honest with the fans.
Fact is, they say stuff, media outlets make a deal out of it for a day or two and then that's it, most often it's forgotten. Ex-players have usually moved on to other things in life and so aren't on any sort of crusade to try and change the club, so you'll hear from them as they're asked about the situation and that's it. Guys like Maldini make waves when they talk, but from the outside what more is he going to do when guys like Galliani and Berlusconi do whatever's in their power to stop anyone on the outside interfering. Barbara's been the closest to getting things to change, although she's inherently inside the club due to her relationship with Silvio. Fact is, even then Galliani managed to survive and Silvio has reduced her influence. Constant could go to Turkey and Pippo wants Armero as his replacement: http://www.milannews.it/primo-piano/mila...ero-151723 Gazzetta thinks it's all close to being done: http://www.milannews.it/calciomercato-mi...ero-151731 Reina, Perin, Marchetti and Victor Valdes are all being looked at for the GK position: http://www.milannews.it/calciomercato-mi...ani-151739

Selling Constant makes sense. but why replace him with Armero??? He aint that much better. Replacing fodder with fodder aint good. Get Darmian!
