I take it you also think Mussolini made the trains run on time and that he (to quote Berlusconi) never had anyobody killed, only sent on holiday?

I know the forum is clean so let's not get into it, but trust me I know the sins of both Mussolini and Berlusconi, particularly Berlusconi who I think is disgusting. I just see what's happening in Europe with the bureaucratic/socialist nature of things, the massive debt, and the immigration which will eventually wipe out the culture of Europe as it did in the United States. Some of the ideas of a strong Italy aren't so bad. Racism is obviously very bad, but as one gets older lines get blurred and there's much shady area in life, and particularly the way this world is run and to what ends.
p.s. Southern Italians supported Mussolini because it is the only time in history in which they actually had an economy. My family is from southern italy so we are biased in this matter.

You're right, we shouldn't get into it. In just about every thing else you are - in my humble opinion - immensely wrong. (And unlike Mussolini I will allow you to disagree ...)
Juve are leading Goetze race (if there's any) because they are ready to swap with Vidal.

I heard Götze won't leave and that Juve are after Schalke's Draxler instead.
Meanwhile we're waiting for €100 million more to spend.
Even if Rubentus does get Draxler, I still don't see improvement, they will certainly be a lot more beatable than they have been.
Losing Pirlo,Vidal, possibly Pogba, and Tevez is a big deal. Barzagli,Buffon near the end, and players like Caceres and Pereyra who should be average may not have consistency this upcoming season. Just a quick analysis.. Signing Mandzukic is hardly a good replacement for Tevez because you're replacing a dynamic player who was very reliable in breaking down defenses on his own and being juves 'messi' per say (I know Messi is on a completely different level, no direct comparison was intended). Mandzukic, a striker in decline having only netted 12 goals last season in 27 games with an Atletico Madrid that certainly didn't have issues scoring.
Replacing Pirlo with Khedira, well, Pirlo may not have had a huge role next season for juve because he's gotten older, but there is no player to replace Pirlo IMO. The same way they will have a very hard time replacing Buffon one day, and the same way we STILL haven't found a player to replace Pirlo since leaving us. Khedira saw the bench and injuries his last two seasons at Madrid as well. Vidal has been the energy of juves midfield, again I dont see a player that they could buy to properly replace him, nor Pogba if he were to leave. In all honesty, if juve take apart their midfield (halfway done) they've lost the title winning team they had. Their midfield was stellar, they never had a great attack, and their defense was good but again the midfield did help a lot. On paper, players like lichsteiner, caceres, bonucci are not world class or the Thiago Silvas and Sergio Ramos' of football.
Anyhow, my point is.. Merda can only spend so much, and I doubt they can compete or keep up the spending with us. We have multibillion euro foundations behind us, between Berlusconi and Bee, and his investors. Fine, maybe we can't go ahead and drop 80mln euros on one player, YET. Berlusconi did say though, that he wanted an investor that could help him to invest at least 100mln euros into Milan every year consistently to keep us competitive. I'm guessing that's between any debt we incur until we have our new stadium, which will probably be upwards of 50m this season, and maybe 30-40 for the next few seasons after until we get more revenue from the stadium. And maybe a good 40-50m for mercatos if needed. I see us rising above juve, and being the top of Seria A for a little while now. Merda needs further investment, maybe a third owner. Thohir is not a 'sugar daddy' owner like Abramovich or Berlusconi could be, he's worth under a billion, and they dont seem to have any plans for a new stadium, which should worry their fans. I'm optimistic for the upcoming season, but even more for the season after.
If we are optimistic we can say sure we can challenge for the top 3 but the fact is that at this point there are way too many variables in this equation. (New coach, new players, new investors, new philosophy etc etc). Let's not forget that the majority of our starting XI is going to be players who have never played with each other. That plays a huge part in how a team performs.
We do not have a core yet. So at this stage no one can say anything for certain except that we can certainly look at a top 10 finish.

My point is, sure, we need world class players. But not less important, is how to make a team works. Yes on paper the likes of Bonucci, Lichtsteiner, Marchisio or Asamoah aren't that good; but working as a team they are very cohesive and works just fine. Vidal was not world class when he first came to them, same as Pogba. Tevez was a risk. Pirlo is considered washed up.
On the contrary, our team looked great on paper. Diego Lopez, Alex, Mexes, Menez, Honda, were on top of their game when they came to Milan. Yes maybe we can't compete for the title, but 10th place is waaaay below our potential, IMHO. In comparison, with Juve's quality on paper? UCL final is waaaaay above their potential.
When players like Pirlo or Ibra gone, you don't replace them. You buy other players who can work in other system but delivering same results : winning...!!!
I'm not trying to praise Rubentus here, but honestly, I will believe that talk about big money when I see it at the end of the mercato. As far as I know, SES had already been sold and who knows we'll sell anyone else just to balance the books. My hopes are not high.

I don't buy "suddenly we have money to spend, so we'll conquer everything again". The cancer of this club, namely Berlusconi and Galliani, are still here. No matter what amount of money you entrust to Galliani, he will always find a way to screw up things. Selling SES and Rami for peanuts? What next, De Sciglio? Mastour?

I still hold that hope that we will make one BIG signing in August (besides Ibra). I can't see us not buying a big player after all the talk of the sale......Bee, "we will spend whatever is needed to bring Milan back to the top", "Milan will be back competing for the scudetto", etc, etc. I see us buying Romagnoli, Ibrahimovic, and then one more big name in August. I hope that's not Witsel though and I hope it's someone like Gundogan.
