I'm more of the opinion that we need both Soriano AND Witsel to challenge. If Monty leaves for Juve because of it, I'm all for it. Even under Allegri, we could see that Monty was no Pirlo 2.0, more than likely Juve will be getting Year 2 Monty rather than Year 1.

I've never been an advocate of Ibra, and considering the type of team we are making, I don't believe that having him will influence us as much as his first stint here. Just because Berlu wants someone, doesn't mean he'll definitely be successful for us on the pitch.

I'm more of the opinion that we need to fix our midfield and defense before dealing with additional reinforcement in attack. The move for Balo in itself is a step in the wrong direction for me. We need stable creators, not goalscorers. We have plenty of those already.

Plus Alex, Zaccardo, Cerci and one of Suso or Honda out (IMO Honda) and we have strengthened the squad and also reduced to 25!

I think we need Witsel more than Ibra! I am fine with Balotelli as third or fourth choice striker, for only 2.25 million euro wages, I think this is a bargain, and we can only win with him!

If you dont need it, you dont need it. Even if he comes on loan, I still dont get it why we are getting Balo back, even on loan! He's wasted his chances here, in England as well. I fail to see how he can improve us. An upgrade to 3rd/4th striker? Seriously why bother about 3rd/4th striker when we seriously lack of 1st choice midfield/ CB.

The thing about saying be patient it will be 2/3 months before we gel and are better is that all the other teams will be in full swing and better also.
As is this squad isn't very good , and to soend 83m to get there is shocking.Our defence is shaky and error prone.The midfield is brutal , doesn't offer anything going forward and doesn't protect the defence at all.Our forwards are good , but to get in on the play to have the ball they have to come way to deep to do so and have no impact.

If we stay as we are or at best add Balotelli and Soriano we'll struggle big time.Well of spent 100m to finish outside the top 5 ...that Im certain of.I do not have any faith that this poorly assembled expensive squad will do well.

Agree..for 4312..the Midfield trio..only De Jong is doing his Job (Destroyer/Ball Winner)...Bona & Berto offered nothing..both are mediocre in terms of creativity and defending....and the subs i only see montolivo as the creative mid..but he is in decline...

IMO, current squad with 4312 + additional Soriano = nightmare season await (for us..not for our opponent)
Current Squad with 442 or 4231 or 4321 is better

The individual players in midfield aren't bad. Guys like Bertolacci, Bonaventura, Honda and others have shown they should be competitive in Serie A. They aren't world beaters by any stretch, but these aren't bad players by any means.

The more I think back and consider the Fiorentina match, as well as recent years in general, is something to do with how players are interpreting systems and positions. I outlined a scenario in the Fiorentina match thread and identified how the players got it wrong collectively when Ely was sent off. I want to understand why, as others don't seem to have this difficulty as much as we do (e.g. Sousa has only just joined Fiorentina yet they seemed to understand his system quickly). Mihajlovic's history as a coach shows one thing, that he generally looks to have organised sides. This was particularly noticeable last year at Sampdoria. Perhaps it just needs time, maybe we literally just have a bunch dumbasses on the roster who don't understand anything about tactics, or more worryingly, there's a greater problem that has resulted in 4 coaches unable to organise the side correctly now. Whatever the cause, we have players who have worked in different systems and have shown success, so there's no reason why we can build something here.

When i was a Milan fan, i was always ashamed of this club. Always talk about past and 7 CL. You have 7 CL, yet it doesn't matter. Bayern got 50 m euros from shirt sponsorship, while Milan only get 17 m euros a year. From Adidas Milan get 20 m euros , while Bayern 60 m euros. (without any payment to Adidas, while Milan gets only %40 of shirts sales, we %100)Milan revenue is 220 m euros, while Bayern's more than 600 m euros with new deals. And you have 7CL? Who cares about past? Nobody gives a damn. Bayern sells 1.5 million replica per year, while Milan lower than 300 k. Bayern aims for winning CL and Bundesliga, while Milan dreams of 3rd place.

80 m euros spending? it seems most part of this money went to Galliani's and his agents friends pockets. Great for Juve, Milan has a CEO like Juventino Galliani. They will continue to win scudetto easily in the coming years, if İnter doesn't stop them.

İnter won 5 scudetto in the last decade, while Milan 1. İnter won 1 CL. Milan is dark side of Milano. İnter plays for scudetto. if Milan played in Serie B, i doubt Milan can win Serie B. Milan would play for top 3 in Serie B too.

i compared mighty Bayern with worthless Milan. Sad for me.
