I have a question that needs your help: (PLEASE READ)

Can anyone please tell me how I can collect the information on how many official games any national team played every year, for example, I am looking for something like this:

Year 1950 1951 1952 1953 ................................................. 2014
Brazil
Spain
Argentina
Italy
Netherlands
(West) Germany
....
....

the years and NTs are just an example.

Thanks in advance. I understand that there may not be readily available data, but any help, suggestions, tips would be appreciated!

I was actually there, but couldn't find a way to get what I wanted. Not sure what I should do.

For example, this was what I did:

I had to count the total games, which was 10 games that Italy NT played for the season 2014-15.

Then I had to move on to another season and do the counting again. and so on..

I wanted to know if there is another easier way.

I'll see if I can find anything Xu, though I've been very limited for time since your request. There must be some record available I would think, though the difficulty is how much of it was recorded during the early days.
