I first watched Banega when he was still in Boca and we were about to face them in Club's World Cup. We were linked with him in the past if I'm not mistaken, and Boca president likened him to Gattuso. To me he looks like a better version of Fernando Gago. A #5 DM who has fairly good range of passing. I rarely watch him in Valencia jersey though.

El Shaarawy is all but a Milan player now, with Milan and Genoa in agreement and his medical due this Saturday.
The Astori deal looks set to go to a blind auction. However, Cellino has said in football he has only two friends, Berlu and Galliani, and therefore is confident of an agreement being reached. He also said Marchetti isn't going to Lazio.

I like this. Let's outbid Cagliari. We need him.

i thought we had to wait until the end of June for El Shaarawy as he had to finish his exams at school and graduate before he could sort out his career with Milan? unless he's already graduated.

That's what I thought too, surely Bonera, Oddo and Onyewu are enough for Astori.

they actually may be good for a lesser team like Cagliari, but it is certainly not easy to include them in the deal when they know what we want/need to pay to get rid of them.

Exactly. I'm sure Cagliari would be more than happy to take Bonera, Oddo and Onyewu if we agree to pay salary for all 3 players.

La ditta Paggio, infatti, ha avuto incarico di realizzare zaini, astucci, quaderni e tutti gli accessori per la scuola con protagonisti soltanto Cavani e Lavezzi.

This basically says that offical Napoli school supplies only features Cavani and Lavezzi - No Hamsik. Calciomercato is saying this is one of the reasons to believe Hamsik is on his way out of Napoli and into a Milan kit.

I see this as simple posturing from an owner.

But let's say it comes to that - trading Pato for Hamsik. Would everyone be ok with that? Normally, I would never consider that deal. Pato is a star Serie A striker. His production speaks for itself. But the problem isn't his performance when he's on the pitch. The problem is what keeps him off the pitch - his injuries. Getting rid of Pato would eliminate one of the bigger questions in our lineup - Pato's fitness. With him gone, the logjam we have in attack would be gone. To be honest, I already envisioned next season to be primarily Binho and Ibra in attack with Pato playing between his injuries.

But in spite of all the injury issues, I still wouldn't make that deal. Pato is still young and selling him now I think would be a big mistake. Imagine if he has an injury free year next year - think of the offers that would come for him next summer. Madrid might offer us 75 million!

It's best to offer Cassano plus a few million and if that's not enough - let's get Asamoah and spend money on Ganso.
