I don't think it's money grabbing , I think it's just sense.
I know player's mature especially defenders , but when Maldini left we got Silva .I expect when Nesta hang's them up we'll do better than Astori.Don't be so down..selling Astori and getting money .thats not a bad thing THATS A GOOD THING!!

I guess. To be honest, the one time I saw him (meaning I really focused on his play because I wanted to evaluate him) he was pretty bad. Hopefully this is no big loss.

I'm getting cranky latelyOkmilan

Remember at one match he played against us and he scored an own goal? He got 3.5 at goal.com, SagrinSagrinSagrin
MILAN! MILAN! SOLO CON TE!
MILAN! MILAN! SEMPRE PER TE!
Yip I remember that Zvonny ..he isnt awful or really bad, just not going to replace Nesta and we are well covered in that area. Now with Borrigol gone we have an extra 14 million.
Astori will be a solid defender nothing more. Zapata is the guy I wish Milan can sign.
Did we get the money from Astori by agreement or auction?

what happened tp sebastian coates signing? the yound central defender from uruguay???
Interesting little article. It points out that Milan don't graduate their youngsters to first team. I was shocked to learn that only Ambrosini, Abate and Antonini are the only players on our team that came from Milan youth. (This assumes that paloschi and Strasser are out)

Milan just started giving focus on youth only a couple of years ago, 2008/09 I think. Ambro, Abate and Antonini were products of our past youth in which we didn't give so much attention like nowadays. We can't compare that time with right now. In addition Milan were fulfilled with world class player even the backups were really good, no chance a youngster could get chance in first team.

With the focus of the management on youth, we can't expect the effect right now. Strasser, Merkel and Paloschi should be the first generation of our investment in youth (especially Merkel). Now they are not ready but their talent are there to compete with senior players when they got experiences.

Ah, a good example of how we do focus on youth is how we sack Stroppa. He did better than last year with respect of Primavera result in championship but he got sacked. It is like a first team action carried out to Primavera coach. Big Grin

I just read on football italia saying that Quagliarella cost totally €15 mil while Matri €15.5 mil.

We bought Ibra for €24 mil and Robinho fo €18 mil. Okmilan

Besides Genoa, Milan now want to be friend with Cagliari. First Astori, then Amelia & Marchetti, and co-ownership for Poli.
I'm watching Ganso right now for the first time!
