I thought that if we sign Ganso in January, it would count against next year's EU spot. Isn't that what happened when we sign Silva? We signed him in the summer, but he never appeared in a game until January.
I'm not crazy about getting Ganso in January. So for the WHOLE first half of the season we're going to use El Shaarawy as our ACM? an 18 year old? I don't like it.....
The team needs to train for a month and start the season strong if we're to repeat the Scudetto and aim for CL. If we're going to change our team drastically mid-way through the season, that is not smart.
Ganso wants to stay 6 more months just to play 1 game ??? That sounds ridiculous. Santos will not beat Barcelona.
Tell Ganso we're getting Hamsik if he doesn't come now. Hope Galliani makes a move this summer, because the squad looks very incomplete and uncreative as it is now.
I would not say Real is counter to Barca, rather JM knows how to contain Barca. Whether or not can his players execute his plan is a different story. This rivalry reminds me of the 80s NHL rivalry of Calary Flames and Edmonton Oilers. Not only were they in the same division, they are also neighboring cities. While the Oliers got the best player in the game, actually he is the best ever, they also boast one of the best team ever with top 3 players in all positions. Calgary on the other hand does not have the flair and elegance of the Oilers but they were a defense machine and actually came out winning one year. Although JM Real will be the closest team next year to serious challenge Barca, they are still half a level behind Barcelona.

Yes, the rule for now is one non EU per season (summer + winter mercato).
About Silva's case back then we already used two non EU spots for Sheva and Viudez. He was signed in December 2008 and immediately trained with the team, played in a friendly match in January 2009 but his first competitive game was in August 2009.

i'd go for Lucas Marcelinho but from the games i watched, he played more right winger or right wing forward. His dribbling, taking 2-3 defenders on him and get past them, his pace is something amazing. His passes are very good, especially deep passes.
Pastore costs too much, also considering we will spend 20-30 m euros or more on LCM. if we sign just a CAM, we could sign Pastore...
interesting anecdot, Zamparini said that Napoli have asked for Pastore to him. i reckon that they will sign Pastore with the money coming from Hamsik sale(they can add some cash from their budget as well)

Real just barely beat Barca in the cup final. Anyway, there is no anti-Barca team right now, they are the best team and a level above every other side. However, they're not perfect and as Inter showed during their treble season and arguably Chelsea before that, a well disciplined side that can physically dominate them and look to take advantage of space behind the fullbacks will have a fair chance against them.

Lucas is an incredible looking talent, one who has the ability to be a real force in the Brazil team for 2014 along with Neymar, Ganso and Pato.

I don't care if they are wingers or ACMs or SS, they are most effective individual weapons in morden football,they can exploit most from half open court,that makes them ideal to counter barca's all time greatest team football.
Where the hell they will fit in? Sure they are effective against farca when we are on counter, but by putting them in RCM or LCM, what are we gonna do when farca plays their possesion football? Robben and Bale would never had touch on the ball, leaving our CDM (V. Bommel) chasing shadows alone, however great he is, he won't have a single touch on the ball to if he has both Robben and Bale on his either sides.

Sorry, I don't care about Barca. We now need an organized system and Scudetto more than seriously thinking about CL. Our main opponents are the new Inter, Juve and Roma. We are one step ahead but carefulness is never too much.
Even Barca must start from scratch with Laporta, Rijkaard and Ronaldinho, the Liga then CL.

yeah....seriously, i don't know why everybody's getting into "how to beat Barca" debate 
We don't need to buy players to beat Barca, we need to buy players to have a strong team to challenge on all fronts....once we get to Barca, it will be the whole team & system that will beat them, not the guy(s) we will sign this summer.
Lucas does look incredibly good indeed and I am sure he will fit in one team with Ganso as they are totally different.
However, I am not a big follower of the Brazilian league but from what i have seen is that Ganso's main attribute is his passing and technique whereas Lucas is his dribbling and speed and, although both would be great, our priority must be the great passer/playmaker rather than the dribbler.
However, if we were to sign Fabregas, then Lucas would probably be the better complement.
Seriously I just responded into arguments that Robben and Bale, those wingers, could fit into our system into RCM and LCM, because they can beat farca in counter. I just shown how wrong those arguments were.
