I don't think Chinese economy down turns would be a factor, either. There is still a lot of money around in China, despite the "down turns".

You are right and I agree, a serious buyer won't think about a 'current' downturn, if anything down turns are opportunities to invest, a down turn in Serie A and Italy's economy is making Milan cheaper for example. Down turns will happen and are inevitable, if one doesn't happen this year it will happen next year or in five years or six, etc.

Robin Li could be the main man behind this bid. His net worth is around 14 billion.

...as Berlusconi is still uncertain about leaving the club in someone else's hands.

This wont go through. He had delusions of selling 48% of an irrelevent club that bleeds money has huge debts for €480m and seing hundreds of millions spent by the new investors (that do not exist) while keeping full control winning all around Scudettos UCL's and taking all the credit.
That is exactly what he thinks WILL not can but WILL happen.Mans a fucking clown

exactly, Berlusconi wants (a lot of) money but doesn't want to lose control. he must think that everyone else in the world is dumb.

Yeah, basically. I don't think he's going to sell either, and it's not about what's best for the club at this point, but about his ego and deluded thinking.

Well, interesting news today. Apparently the Chinese are willing to up the offer to 730mil for 70%, with views of buying the remaining 30% in the next year.
If this is true, the price is very consistent with the 1bil evaluation that Silvio wants. The other problem remaining, is if he'll be willing to give up the majority, and eventually entirety. Days after multiple rumors per day, and nobody has denied anything. This Sal guy even saying that a deal can be closed within 8 weeks....and still no denial from Fininvest. |
