I think Montolivo will be a bust as he is really nothing special. If he is not Italian, I doubt any of you will want him to be in Milan.

Montolivo and pastore! too good to be true.If it become real,I will give a 10+ to our summer market.
May god with chinese footbball
instead of montolivo, i would prefer poli......he is more of a complete CM, tackles well and distributes the ball as well.
btw, braida has met with pastore's agent. No figures were offered yet it seems...Galli is also started talking about Kaka. I think if none of Ganso, Hamsik or Pastore comes, B&G will go for their own son Kaka..... i think signing pastore, poli in august and Danilo or David luiz in january will be a supercool mercato this year....but personally i would like to see robinho being sold and replaced with rossi as well....DREAMING Now the chances are: 1.Ganso 2.Pastore 3.Kaka 4.Hamsik 5.Montolivo 6.Marchisio 7.Shweinsteiger in that order.....one among the top four will come...surely

I don't like Montolivo to be our midfield signing especially if it's just a swap with Cassano. He's slow and against some of the better team's his decision making is slow and cumbersome and not what we need , he would be a squad player to play when better player's need a break. But if all we get is him and Cassano goes then that's not going to bring us what we need in the CL. Despite what has been said now that we are complete well 3 weeks ago the MGT were admitting that we were not and needed midfielders a LM definitely and maybe another. So to say we complete now is insulting our intelligence. I really don't know much the fine to finivest will effect Milan , at first Galli said it would then it wouldn't then it would then it wouldn't and on and on. I hope it doesn't and if it does stop Milan being able to spend then sell Berlu , it's one thing being frugal and refusing to spend obscene amounts of money and trying to balance the book's stay debt free. It is another thing altogether just not being able to spend and build on 1 bit of success. Anyway I don't know what will happen , I hope we pull of a few signing's because more success in the CL and league will make more money in 2 season's than the 40-50 million that would be spent.

It won´t be swap with Cassano, Allegri denied it, Montolivo would be a normal signing and alongside with Ambro and Boateng he would fit in our Midfield. Robinho infront of this line and you are competitive in the CL. Clearly a player like Kaká or Pastore would make us better, but Montolivo could play Pirlo´s Role in Midfield in an offensiver type.

If the midfield signing is MonTolivo, Milan is thinking backward. He is not quality and is just a solid player. On top of that, I don't think he can add much to the current squad. No offense, but if Milan is serious about challenging on all fonts, they need to sign players who will be in their starting 11 and not depth players. Another to remember is that Taiwo and Mexes are good signings, and will improve Milan, but one of the is a sub off the bench while the other is an improvement to Milan current LBs but he is not a World Beater.

Montolivo will not be the only midfield signing according to the media, he will play in Pirlo´s role and there could be a other signing for the offensive role, at this Pastore is on Number one but it could be Kaká too,if they can´t get him. Montolivo is not Mister X, thats denied today. Galliani said, that we had a good team now and at this moment we will not do anything on the market, but remember like i do, he said this every summer and a lot of good players come

Creative and offensive midfielders are our important need now. About Taiwo and Mexes, we can't have all world class players in all position. We can have good players for certain position like fullback for example (if Taiwo is indeed a good player). Mexes as sub is great and he could be also starter.

Allegri doesn't play a player like Pirlo used to play in that role.He want's a LM which Pirlo played a few times and looked good , but Montolivo is too slow to play there and while Pirlo was also slow his Passing ball control shooting vision and dribbling are all superior to Montolivo.I don't him adding much at all , we'll be practically the same as last year if he comes.
