The coaching decision really depends on the strategy of the team when it comes to revamping the team. If we are going to do a quick fix by getting a lot of big name players, then it is imperative that we get a big name coach to help us win right away. If, on the other hand, we decide to go young and rebuild completely, then it might actually be a better idea to get a young coach to come in and grow with the team. Without a serious revamp of the players, Pellegrini wouldn't really be able to do much anyway. Even Guardiola wouldn't turn Montolivo into a world class player.
That being said, Giampaolo doesn't seem like a very impressive coach by any means. Not sure what everyone in our management really sees in him. I'd rather we go after a better qualified young coach
