Week 19: Roma - Milan (Saturday, January 9 - 20:45 CET)
#1
We travel away to Roma this Saturday in our last mach of the first half of the season. We currently sit 7th and there are nonstop rumours swirling about the future of the coach and the players. With the mood around the club being what it is, I think that our only hope is for Roma to pull a Roma in this match. Unfortunately though, I heard that Salah may be fit and I can only imagine what Gervinho and Salah could do to our defense.

On another note, we can't really be shocked at our standing in the league table. We are currently behind Inter, Fiorentina, Napoli, Juventus, Roma, Sassuolo, all of which bar Sassuolo have better squads than we do. This was something that myself and others highlighted during the summer transfer window as it was clear that we had NOT done enough to reach a top 3 spot. I have already resigned myself to another season without Champions League football. Even Europa league would require us to have a dramatic turn around AND for one or two other teams to severely drop off the pace. I expect more of the same unless some miracle occurs during the winter transfer market.

That miracle could only be if Berlusconi sell 50+% actions of Milan and we finally get board which is willing to invest some real money.
He's now talking about "extra large amount of 80M$ spent on summer transfer market" . Come on,that's money which other clubs spent for chips and popcorns. 80M is nothing today. 1,5 good player. Especially for club which is in situation with "quality" like we are. Without 300M (and of big importance is - don't let Galliani even near that money) we can't speak about serious improvement. "Kids" not counted - we have only 3 players which deserve to stay.

Game against Roma. I'm afraid . I'm very afraid of disaster. It's time for Roma to went out of crysis. Maybe we'll be that who's going to suffer when all their rage came out.
Avaiting for arrival of exorcist into our boardroom.

Roma has not been performing well in last few games, if our player are willing to put more efforts, we could still probably get at least a point out of this game. My concern, Alex is out, its Romagnoli and Zapata...

Honestly I'd put DES, Ely or play 3 in the back instead of playing Zapata. He's the most unreliable defender this season.
