Summer transfer window 2017
Biglia is good. The price is about right for him too. Only thing I don't like about him is his age. Locatelli can learn from him though
Somehow I am not convinced with Biglia and Morata. Can someone give me an argument to change my mind?
I'm looking on them as some kind of "mid phase". They will help club to progress into CL and in a 2 or 3 years they will be replaced by better solutions as we will be able to attract better players and hopefuly have more money on disposal.

Biglia >>> Sosa/ Pasalic/ Kuco/ Poli, while Morata >> Lapadula/ Bacca .What else do you need ? Sagrin Sagrin Sagrin
Just like Chelsea in Abramovich's first year: Joe Cole, Kezman, Mutu, Damien Duff, Glen Johnson; that kind of stuff
MILAN! MILAN! SOLO CON TE!
MILAN! MILAN! SEMPRE PER TE!

On Biglia:

He's one of the best regista in Italy today, technically gifted, solid defensively and a leader having been captain at Lazio. If he comes he brings experience, leadership and character that we've lacked in the role for a while now. He's not a glamorous name like Modric would be, but as a short term solution in helping the young players grow and bringing quality in, it's hard to argue that he won't be a good addition and would probably immediately raise the quality in the team.

That said at the prices quote (18+bonuses?), that's a huge sum for a 31 year old who's never really played at the very top, albeit the aforementioned Modric would probably cost double that at the same age.

On Morata:

I honestly think he's one of the most completely centre forwards coming through in Europe today. His work rate for a forward is good, technically he's got a good touch and is a direct runner. On top of that his finishing and shooting are good and physically while he should impose himself more, he's not an insignificant presence in the air or holding on the ball. He's also pretty quick, making it difficult for teams to stop him when he's on the break.

In addition to his qualities, he's ALWAYS played at the top in his career and has experience and quality that we seriously lack in our squad right now. Getting him also indicates a statement of intent for the club, as seeing a name of that ilk coming to Milan would be appealing to other top players.

Simply put, I think there are very, very few forwards realistically available that could bring what Morata could for us. Biglia on the other hand, isn't exciting and may not be worth the cost, but I think at the least he improves on what we have.
but that chelsea got the creativity in mutu and cole atleast from that new addition not to mention they have lampard, stanic, hasselbaink. but now we havent been link with a creative mid at all imo, and the 1 we have doesnt encourage me about the creativity division.
Biglia probably means Locatelli out on loan. I think Monto and Biglia will share that spot. No sense in Locatelli sitting on the bench the entire season in that case.

I agree that Biglia will add quality, even though I am not his biggest fan and I think he is probably in the Montolivo region of quality with some differences.

I was hoping for at least 1 very technical CM, but I don't see us linked to any. It's a shame if you ask me, and it also doesn't add up to the way Montella likes his midfielders. We seem to be building a "mechanical" type of midfield rather than the technical "easy on the eyes" type. It could work and as long as it wins us games, I am fine with it.

I am worried that we are still going to be missing that quality though and also some individuals that have the ability to win the game. We also need some pace through the middle as right now, all the players we see linked to us are not exactly your pacy types.

Why not sell montocrap and keep Biglia and Locatelli? Board should do exsactly that.

I am not disagreeing. I would to that too.

I am just saying what I think will happen...not necessarily what I want to happen.
