I am liking this new management more and more. Esp the bit about scouting and signing players.

They talk, they act. RR,  Kessie, Musa, Conti are some examples, that not based on gossip. They are not superstars nor hyped by media as they were superstars. Really like how FM have been doing with Milan.

He is not very tall, but he is great in the air. As a matter of fact, that's probably one of his best attributes. The guy is just powerful and attacks the ball aggressively like few others. His timing and runs are also really good. Don't look too much into his height. I would put my money on him winning a header against most defenders out there.

If we think about the 3 midfield positions, this is what I think the player spread is:

DMC: Biglia, Montolivo, Locatelli
LCM (this will be the more attack minded player): Bonaventura, Calhanoglu, Sosa, Zanellato 
RCM (this will likely be the box-to-box player): Kessie, Mauri

*ACMs (if we use them, 1 or 2 depending on formation): Suso, *Bonaventura, *Calhanoglu, *Sosa (these last 3 already included above as CMs)

So in terms of numbers, at the moment, we have enough as you said. That's 10 players for 3 positions (not counting the AM positions because obviously we don't know if we'll go that route. 

But a closer look at that shows that 2 of those players are Zanellato and Mauri, who will probably both leave. It is also 50-50 on Sosa. I think if a club matches his salary demands, he'll be gone. The other problem is that the only box-to-box player we have is Kessie. Mauri is the only other that can do that role, but as I said, he is likely to leave. This leaves only 1 player that can naturally do the role of a box-to-box player in Kessie. So that one position has to be filled as we can not rely only on Kessie to do that role. I think this is where the Renato Sanches interest comes in from our management.

The fans really need to support the club this year. We all wanted investments and the management responded. If we don't average at least 55k fans (without the Inter and Juventus games) this season, than we must have some horrible fans in Milano. I know that I will try and get myself there for one game this season. 

It's easy to just put all the responsibility to the fans in Milano. Every single one of us can show gratitude by helping the club financially. I have said that I will spend a €1 for every million they spend in the Milan store. I know not everyone is able to do that but you can buy one shirt, if not that then a gadget in the store. There are cheap things there too. It's the least we can do after being spoilt so much and if all the Milanisti across the world did it as a sign of gratitude the club would get an enormous injection of money

Playing Sanches and Kisse together with Locatelli would be like training up a more improved version of Seedorf-Pirlo-Gattuso.
To be honest, I can see it working, plus given they're all early 20s, that, like our defense, could work for a long, long time.

Agree. I buy a jersey every year, but this year I may actually buy 2.   As you said, not everyone can buy jerseys or go to Milano, etc......but I think everyone can contribute in one way or another here and and there. 

I think the fans will respond to this open communication and investment form the club. Already we have seen signs of that with the 5,000 fans at Milanello for the first training session of the season. The enthusiasm with the signing of Bonucci and Biglia just a few days was also there for all to see. 

I think we will see a massive crowd at the San Siro for the first home game of the season.

Whoever wrote this piece must be an idiot.
The 75M losses from last years balance sheet was wiped out when we were bought out by the Chinese. We start this current era at zero losses and debt owing to Elliot and other people who loaned the club money.

That loss amount reported last year was a net balance of revenues less wages, expenses and overheads. Reported salaries for all first team players together (not just the new ones we bought) amount to around 115M (still lower than Juve), which is around a 30M increase on the previous year. So if we're talking about the difference between this year and last year it would bump net losses from 75M to around 105M.

HOWEVER, last year's season ticket sales were absolute dogshit, around 16 to 18K sold. I can't imagine, considering we aren't raising prices this year, that with all the hype we're getting that we won't get double that amount for the coming year. That in itself will raise revenues and decrease the losses. NOT to mention shirt sales for 9 or more of our new players will obviously bring in more funds.

Also, our new Milan are signing a lot of contracts with the Chinese during our tour right now. Do you think those contracts are worth nothing? We're getting paid for allowing China to start funds and schools using our brand name. That is a huge source of inocme right there. Probably enough to wipe off any expenses incurred for the year. 


Our management have already done all the maths. They're trying to list Milan on the Asian stock market. An IPO like that would rake in a ton of cash. But that's actually besides the point, why? Because all the plans that management have already have accounted for contingencies as well. An interview a few months back had Fassobelli openly admitting that we had the resources to deal with not making the CL for two years straight before things got bad. I doubt they would joke about things like this.

Merda and Ladri fans can wish ill on us however they want, but management has a plan to make the club not only competitive, but also profitable as well. All the contingencies are in place as well. China mean business here, and they are very, very good at doing business.

Great post Ryo Nevertheless I think OP made some good points as well. He/she assumed the next fiscal year the loss will be more or less the same if there is no drastic change in revenue. Our current wage bill is 80 millions. New players' wages are approx. 40 millions net so 80 millions gross. Amortization is assumed to be 40 millions/year which is more or less reasonable. It's approx. a negative 200 millions if nothing would change in revenue (unlikely ofc).

Let's see what we can do to improve revenue:
- Player sales: if F&M manage to ship out all dead weights this summer, 75 millions losses assumed for next year would probably be gone. We only need to balance out new player wages and transfer fee amortization: -120 millions
- Win Europa League: +25 millions
- Increase season ticket sale and attendance: +10 to +15 millions
- Shirt sales: as clubs usually only get about 10-15% from kit manufactures, +10 to 15 millions maybe?
- New sponsor deals: this could be huge as you mentioned. We will break even if we could get 65 millions or more. I don't know how hard could it be to get that much but I trust the Chinese know what to do already

In the following years, getting to CL + go as deep as possible will help us grow even more revenue-wise. We cannot let Ladri enjoy Italy's market pool by themselves

TL;DR: It's doable but the Chinese + F&M will have to do some heavy lifting.

I stopped buying jerseys for some years now because the old management didn't deserve it and they'd waste my money anyway But this new management deserves our full support on all fronts.
