If we're persisting with the 4-3-3 definitely a new LW... Plus a top CM would do nicely regardless of formation... Can't be relying on Montolivo

Thanks for opening the thread. I think it's still very early to know exactly what's needed, but we need to continue the work we've started this summer and continue building. What we can't do is if we don't have a great first half a season, rip up what's been done so far and suddenly think we need to make massive changes to our long term plan. We need patience and stability, so incrementally add to what's been started and not have another mercato of revolution.

Yeah. Biglia is old, Loca is young, Kessie is raw, Jack & Hakan not best position.

Definitely a fix for our midfield, as well as an actual Left Winger.

Another top midfielder will be good. Not sure we need another winger if we're playing a 3-5-2.
Even with a 4-3-3 we can put Jack at LW.

Today highlighted the fact that one bad player can put an entire match at risk. Against Lazio Montolivo stuck out like a sore thumb. Today Zapata was accountable for their goal.
For some reason, our midfield was moving so fluently today I have to say I really loved it. Kessie is a star in the making, but there are some hiccups which are completely acceptable at his age, he's already outperforming a lot of the other talents his age as well, while he doesn't receive as much media hype (he will only a matter of time) he's definitely one of the most talented youth midfielders in Europe.
Biglia is old like mentioned, but he is a good player. He's calm and composed, was definitely a bit sharper a couple of years ago though I can guarantee it.

So yes, a midfielder is definitely something we need. Verratti is still the dream!

unless zanelato suddenly becoming ggood, or we can always bring cristante back here of he performs well this season with atalanta, loca should be the 1 replacing biglia imo, but we do still need a backup for him.
