Winter transfer window 2018
Mahrez can play on the left too, if we can use Deulofeu on the left then we can definitely use Mahrez too
Correct me if i'm wrong, but he hasn't played on the left at all for the past 3 years (the years in which he has made his name more or less). I don't know if he did before that, but again, I've never seen him there.

My point is not whether he CAN play there. I'm sure we'll make it work. But how will he perform. When you buy someone for 7mil like Borini, you can put them in different positions and what you get is what you get.

But if you are going to spend 50mil on a player, assuming that's probably what he'll cost, then I think it should be on someone that regularly plays there and has proven to be able to perform there at a high level. I don't think the answer is to blow 50mil on a RW with the intention of playing him on the left.....and the only explanation for it is....."he can play on the left".
Would Payet be a good option?
I have seen him play on the left in some situations at Leicester, not many but he has. Whether he would be willing more often I don't know.
Rumours say Manchester City have made a bid of £60 million for Mahrez following Sane's injury.
Zanellato to Crotone on loan with obligation to buy for €300k. We'll also receive 50% of future transfer fee.

Also Gabriel have been loaned out to Empoli.
Paletta's contract have been terminated by mutual consent. He is no longer a Milan player.

I agree I think we need to be very specific as to how we invest our money going forward. We need to address very specific areas with very specific players to take the step up. A proper left winger is something I'd consider if we're looking to keep a formation with wingers. Obviously apart from that we desperately need a creative midfielder.
Aubameyang to Arsenal for André Silva + Kalinic...
So instead of one world class striker, Mirabelli worked his magic and turned it into two strikers who can't play. Way to go master scout lol.
