i never thought mirabelli did a good job last season, because he got us kalinic instead of a better striker, and when we already have silva he bought kalinic, when we have musachio he bought bonuci, yes the later is a big surprise, and a big yes from me, but still, without a striker and a midfielder, what can we do, i never rated biglia that highly.

So as it seems now the targets for the midfield are Rabiot, SMS and Kovacic. Not even taking in consideration the reality of these targets my concern in this is those are all offensive minded midfielders. We do offcourse need a boost in attack but since we will sign a winger possibly Bernard and Suso is considered unsellable Hakan will mive to the bench. Which is no problem because we do need depth but since we're kind off short on money it would be so much smarter to sell Suso. We could sign a RW and we could use Suso's transfer money to reinforce in depth for example a backup for Kessie/Wings.

Biglia isn't good enough.
Kessie is a box to box midfielder.
Locatelli is a classical midfielder.
Bonaventura is an attacking midfielder, but with the right instructions by the coach, he can play several roles in midfield.
Calhanoglu is an attacking midfielder but is more often used on the wing.

We keep saying we lack creativity.

Adding one of these midfielders will bring more creativity.
So I don't have any problem with them instead of a regista, box to box or any defensive midfielder.

IMO Calhanoglu is a sure starter, Bonaventura probably too (they have a good partnership on the left and can alternate their positions easily). From all the players you mentionned, I think it's Biglia/Locatelli who would surely go on the bench if one of these guys arrives ... the balance of the team will just change a little further up on the pitch.

IMO Calhanoglu is a sure starter, Bonaventura probably too (they have a good partnership on the left and can alternate their positions easily). Okay I didn't explain myself good enough we desperately need a player like the ones we are linked to now. My point is that I don't want Hakan to lose his place so selling Suso and in that way raising funds would be great. 
How do you see Hakan an Bonaventura being sure starters if a new midfielder comes in? Kessie won't be replaced because he brings a certain agressivity none of our players have. 
In case Biglia will be replaced of these three midfield targets only Rabiot will be able to play his position. So do you think we will move to a 433 with attacking midfielder or any other formation using an attacking midfielder?

Look at his season in Lazio instead.
Because if we only look at the World Cup, damn, we could buy Messi for 10M, Higuain is a bad player, etc ...

Rabiot is quite bad as a regista, so he can't be a direct replacement of Biglia. Not in his position I mean.
Yes I imagine 4-3-3 with one of these guys in the center, higher than Biglia on the field, but bringing more moves forward as a consequence ... a kind of missing piece omin our current team.
