Now I seriously starting to doubt Giampaolo and Samu relationship. Grinser044

I doubt theo will start against verona.. he might get some minutes in the 2nd half though if he's fully recovered.. i dont think MG will rush him straight into X11 right off an injury.. top risky..

I'd prefer to see calabria in LB and Conti at RB rather than RR..

I understand the whole "learning of the system", I really do. I also understand "rewarding players that have been there since day one" for the time being. BUT, at some point you gotta pull the plug. Players like Samu have shown nothing from day 1. Know the system or not, he's shown to be incapable of functioning in it.

Also, how are players supposed to learn the system if they don't get to play in it. Practice is one thing, but real games are needed. He has to put his best players on the field. Maybe not from the beginning vs Verona, but at some point in that game, we have to get our best line up to play together for at least 30 minutes. I expect the best possible team (best players in it) to play vs Inter. Not the ones that have been there the longest "learning the system".

And these are capable professional players. It shouldn't take more then a couple of weeks for you to explain all your ideas. Aftet that, it just becomes a work in progress and improvement...both only possible by playing within that system together longer and longer. You add or subtract things within the season, but system should be set within the first couple weeks.

Report: Milan XI against Hellas Verona – Castillejo in, Paqueta out.

MilanNews – who cite Tuttosport – provide an update on the team we can expect to see in Verona, starting their report by stating that it will be either a 4-3-1-2 formation or a 4-3-3.

New signing Ante Rebic has little chance of playing from the first minute, they state, meaning Samu Castillejo has a very good chance of starting his third game of the season.

The Spaniard should form an offensive trident with Suso and Piatek, but whether that will be with wingers or with a No.10 and two strikers remains to be seen.

Meanwhile, Theo Hernandez will start from the bench, and the midfield three will see Ismael Bennacer as the anchor with Franck Kessié and Hakan Calhanoglu to the side.

Therefore, as per the report, the likely XI will be:
Donnarumma; Calabria, Musacchio, Romagnoli, Rodriguez; Kessie, Bennacer, Calhanoglu; Suso; Castillejo, Piatek.

[Image: 1f30d.png] #ACMilan have not won the first game back after an international break for almost three years (16 October 2016, 3-1 at Chievo.

I just can't imagine a situation where at least Hakan won't be tried in place is Samu up front in a Xmas tree formation with Pacqueta playing in a three man mid field. If he wants two up front then Leao or even Borini In place of Samu. Nefremo hit it spot on In that at some point these guys have to work it out on the field. If we see Samu starting I am gonna start thinking giampaolo is a interista.

Quote:I don’t get how Castillejo and to a lesser extent Calhanoglu still start. I’d like to see Hernandez over Rodriguez too soon
