The guy is developping nicely, it's not easy to come from a small dutch club to the second biggest club in the world.

I can actually say with 99% concincing that there is a main reason behind him lagging behind so much:
Urby is a guy who has always liked his parents a lot, his friends especially. He used to hang out in amsterdam with them, even after a game. He just didn't feel Milan to be home yet. Now he's finally settling down and his mind is becoming more calm as he has made some friends at the club Wink

Thanks. Nice info Okmilan

Allegri on Urby "We're working on Emanuelson as a full back and maybe he'll be able to play there next year." Interesting. He has pace and stamina in abundance but really lacks creativity to be a good attacking midfielder or trequartista IMO, so his best chance of staying at Milan is to play as a LB.

that sounds great!! He is not good enough in midfield, not even for the bench IMO, but he has been doing great when played at left back. he had 2 assists in his last 2 games. While Antonini and Abate combined got 0 assists this season.

Offensively speaking, he would be the best LB out of all the others.

I think as long as the LCM/LM is someone who can run and tracks back, Urby will be fine as LB.

Would be nice to have a LB that can cross for a change.

If Boateng, Seedorf, Aquilani and Merkel hadn't been injured for too long, Urby would have been our LB now.

Nocerino should play there!

Urby is certainly not good enough to play midfield at Milan, that's for sure and was observed on many occasions this year.

I'm skeptical about seeing him at LB too. The hope is that he becomes a Cafu or Serginho, but based on his performance this year, he'll end up being more like a weaker version of Abate. Lots of pace, not too much skill, no heading, no eye for goal, and can't cross.

I'd rather sell Urby and sign a real LB. Keeping him as a backup for midfield is a waste, but I guess it depends on his salary.
