Second yellow for Saelemaekers... Let's hope we can salvage a point.

Alright, it ended 2-2. All things considered we can be happy with a draw away against Napoli. And in all honesty, 7 out of 9 points against Lazio, Juve and Napoli is great, I was expecting maybe 2 or 3 before this run of games.

Full time. I think we should be happy with a 2-2 draw here. Overall Napoli were the better team.

Fair result. They were better but didn’t make too many great chances. We looked gassed again. Second game in a row. Sarlesmaker’s first yellow was BS btw.

Donnaruma cost us the win tonight. Had two saves but then his howlers made us fight for apoint even though Napoli were the better side tonight. Hakan and Paqueta need to be aold asap and get decent players instead.

The referee wasn't biased, but kind of clueless. Definitely inexperienced. Surprised that Callejon wasn't shown a yellow, and that no Napoli players saw any card for that protesting.
The last attack was wtf? Not that we could score, but passing to a teammate who had no idea the ball was coming? That game ended in such a strange way. I don't think we could have done better. Not a bad result after all.

He made a few phenomenal saves during the first half to keep us in the game. However, in the last 20-25 minutes, he was just horrible. Not sure what got to him. Back to back misjudgment on corners, and could have easily cost us the game. And his footwork? absolutely facepalm-worthy.

Yeah definitely weird ending. Conti was pissed. Bennacer didn’t have a great game. I’m not sure I’d be blaming Donna tho. All he could do was position himself which he did. Otherwise just reactionary.

The 2nd half was more even in terms of play, but yes, even when things were equal, Napoli seemed to be the more dangerous team.
All things considered, 2-2 is not a bad result, but we should have done better in open play. We just weren't sharp enough. Too slow and too many mistakes. Btw...as good as Donnarumma is as a shot stopper....they REALLY need to work on crosses with him. With that body, he should be attacking crosses and dominating the area. Players need to be scared whenthey hear him calling for the ball. Instead he's flimsy and weak whenever a cross comes in. |
