So excited about this. This guy is electric. No fear in the way he plays. He's not just your typical "inverted" winger, meaning he doesn't just cut inside and look for a shot. He does so much more. Maybe the best thing he does is 1-2 combinations with players. He can beat his man many different ways, and best of all, without the ball. Seems that even at this young age he's figured out that he can get past 2-3 players by a "simple" vertical give and go much easier rather then trying to dribble past those same 2-3 players. It's always amazing to me how long it takes youngsters to figure this out. They all start off by trying to take on several players, rather then playing the ball to a "posted player" ahead of you and running past the same players without the ball, getfing it back a few sexonds later.
Hopefully he'll continue on this road with us. He really looks like a "modern" attacker that's able to play across the attacking line, works hard defensively, takes up dangerous positions and gets on the stat sheet. I think this may turn out to be the best piece of business we've done in a long time. We still gloat about the fact we signed Kaka for 8mil (or whatever low sum it was). I think several years from now we'll be making the same comments about Hauge and how he was an absolute bargain. (Note...i'm not comparing this guy to Kaka. Just saying he has great potential and to get him for 5mil in today's world is great business)
Welcome Hauge.
Transfer fee is apparently 4 million, less than earlier reported 5.
Signed until summer 2025.
According to an interview with a friend or a teammate at Bodø/Glimt (can't remember who they interviewed), Hauge had said before last week's match that he was determined to play so well that Milan just had to buy him. He's nothing if not confident, at least.
I hope we bought him based on our scouting on him for long time enough not only his performance against us.
Welcome Hauge, wish him the best success with Milan.
