I saw the game, so not really a guess. Big Grin
He spent the majority of the time centrally behind the striker. Right where an ACM or a SS would play.

He moved a lot, as he usually does. Started off his movements on the right almost as a right sided ACM, but always came in the middle to seek the ball. Didn't see much of the ball though. The goal he scored was opportunistic. He peeled off at the far post on a corner. Second ball came to him and he got his foot on it (or actually his shin). It was a reaction goal and smart movement.

I always said....from the moment we signed him....he should have been given the freedom to roam around in the attacking 3rd. But Italian coaches and their rigid tactics. 2-3 games in, and we totally UN-coached what was coached in him at Bodo. Pioli had him stuck on the left sideline. This was not Hauge's spot. Not at Bodo and definitely shouldn't have been here.

I never understand how you scout a certain player....he impresses you...you go and spend millions to buy him. And then, in 2 games, you wanna change everything he knows!!! I mean...what the hell impressed you then??? If you wanna change all that he brings to begin with?!?? If you wanted a player that sits on the left sideline, tjen why buy him? Buy a damn true winger.

Yes, big yes lol.

His heatmap is actually tilted towards RW, I saw a few minute not the whole of the game (or second half)

Doesn't this come down to the old Italian mentality? Pioli did what he did but a younger coach like De Zerbi might of played him as he should.

I mean, Hauge almost single-handedly humiliated us and knocked us out of EL group stage. So I can only echo what you've written.

We'll definitely regret losing this guy. Especially when Krunic, Samu and even Leao got many passes for shit games but then still got minutes while Hauge got familiar with the bench.

I hope one day we get the dirt from JPH with what really happened.

We should have gone for De Zerbi end of last season.
Now when Pioli gets the sack we'll get Sheva instead

Hauge's transfer is completely nonsense. Let's say you get an unmissable offer I can understand ... but not from 12 for a guy who played not many and showed nothing, to keep in team who then? Castillejo? Krunic?.I hope with all my heart that at least this money has been accepted so that the incoming market can unlock and take those 3-4 players to complete the team.

I regret we didn't go for De Zerbi. Top Italian coach with 'non-Italian' mentality.
Forza Diavolo ale!!!

The coach issue is delicate. Only in very serious cases Pioli will be replaced during the current season to put in a low-cost ferryman probably of Redblack faith(Donadoni-Sheva).

Welcome, apologies for a delay in post approval, should be ok now

We can hope Pioli and team keep going well, Sheva is absolutely the only former I would consider, not even sure Tassotti but I suppose if Sheva comes back he will come too. Donadoni et al no way, return to the past is already over the limit.
