Being a Milan fan isn't the easiest thing in the world these days. I'm not going to bother you with the gory details of the team's problems because we all know them. Even if I tried to, frankly, they are so many issues, I wouldn't even know where to start from. But I digress. The purpose of this post is to 'explain' my long absense from MM. I'm usually a very calm, thoughtful and rational person but when it comes to matters involving Milan, those words don't apply to me because I'm very passionate about the team. Sadly, passion and reason don't always go hand-in-hand. When Milan drop important points , I'm a very horrible person to be around. A very horrible and a very angry person. Angry at Allegri, angry B & G, angry at Robinho (Is it even legal for him to miss that many clear-cut chances?) but above all angry at the team for not winning the match. So you wouldn't even need to be a seer to predict what kind of mood I was in following this sequence of Milan matches (in no particular order) vs. Arsenal second leg (I couldn't endure the torture beyond half-time. I'm not a fair-weather fan, but I'm certainly not a masochist.), vs. Catania, vs. Juve in the Copa, vs. Barca at the Camp Nou (what was Mexes thinking for the first PK? Doesn't Allegri know that when Milan don't have possesion Ibra as a point man is as useless as a wet blanket on a cold winter night?) and lastly vs. Fiorentina. Throughout the period of this wretched run, I've not been able form rational thoughts about the team and as such thought it best to refrain from visiting MM. It has taken an incredible amount of restrain, but I've survived. Hopefully, the team's poor spell is over and I'll visit more. Forza Milan.
Don Silvio, what is your aim???
I'm the glass is half full kind of guy. Granted several games left much to be desired than the others, few angered me, other like the 1st half against Arsenal even embarassed me. I think we should judge everything at the end of the season, but even now if we look at the bigger picture, we can see that we're not doing bad compare to last season. We reached the semifinals of Coppa, made one stage further in UCL, and are still in the race for scudetto.
As for visiting MM, well, apart from Facebook, this is the only site that I check out several times during the day. Mostly I just read. I averaged 1,3 posts on the old forums and 1,5 posts now. This might not the most active Milan fans forum but exactly the one I feel most comfortable with so I can live with that.
per l'amaro e il dolce
Come to visit MM anyway, good time or bad.
I share your sentiments. The one that angers me the most was our home loss against Fiorentina. I thought that we would beat the crap out of them, but once again Mexes' brainfart cost us the important points and maybe even the scudetto.
But I come to MM still. I feel that this site has a nice atmosphere where people are sensitive and reasonable. Also, I have been around for 12 years now (counting the old forum days), and it is not easy to just cut the tie. I feel comfortable here and as long as I still feel the same way, I will try to make my contribution.
I don't really have a life anyway.

yep! Though I think zeekay might not agree with you. Lol.

I too haven't posted much lately, but not due to our bad time. First uni exams, now very busy schedule with my music and band etc.
I get a bit angry when we lose, but not as much as say last season. Yes, Milan is important, I love the team, I've been a devoted fan, watching every game, supporting them in good and bad times and will always do so etc etc, but at the end of the day it's just football, it's just entertainment.
And to be honest I've lost interest in football outside of Serie A, only catch the odd Premier League, Championship, Europe League and Bundesliga game. Those for me are the most entertaining leagues at the moment. Money is ruining the sport in my opinion.

Nella gioia e nell' dolore, per il Milan eterno amore!
I guess today's result won't help for the matter.

haha, just come and have fun. It's a nice community here.
the way I see it, this is a good place to vent a little when results don't go your. A bit like today, reading other posts, I feel less aggrieved today, although I'm still pretty annoyed by our match.
